Fruhvirtova would have given Sabalenka a better match (and possibly beat her). This is Vekic's ceiling. You just know that Fruhvirtova has 'it', like Billie Jean King, Navratilova, Graf, Seles, Capriati, Serena, etc.
Fruhvirtova is a kid. You really can't say how she'd have done. But she'll get there eventually, I feel sure.

Sidebar: I know Chris Evert's short hair is about her cancer, but I think it looks great. She should keep it.

Tell me why I should care about Magda Linette. I really haven't watched her enough to know.

She has very good defence and her best wing is her bhand, solid serve, she held her nerve today against Pliskova and didnt allow her to push her off the baseline

Thanks. I'll still be rooting for Sabalenka, though. :)

Women are so hard on other women! Evert was #1 after winning FO & Wimbledon in 1974! That's almost 50 years ago, but all we talk about is her appearance! Will she remain "Chrissy" until instantly turns into an old lady at 80? She's almost 70; really 68! WTF? :pleading-face: :slap::angry-face:

I think Saba can win that match, though on her messy form she showed today, if she gets to the final on this performance against Vekic today, she wont win
