I imagine it hurts because maybe she is considering retiring after this year. She should hold her head high. She has had a great start to her year all things considered. I think her best shot will be Wimbledon. Less of a shot at the French unless she miraculously cuts down on those errors. The US Open not so much she seems to have this wall there.

Congrats to naomi. I didn't watch the entire match but from highlights and the comments sounds like serena was both beaten and handed the match over. I feel like she hasn't been the same since 2015. After not winning That calendar slam plus returning from having a baby, she to me, has not been the same. I hope naomi takes this! I want her to do what Sloane has not been able to do.
