I went with del Potro in 4. Cilic is playing well enough, but I don't see clay as his mètier as much as Juan Martín's.

Predicting Potro to win it in 3 sets. I hope for a short match so he’s fresh when he faces Nadal.

Delpo looks good in this tourney so far but questions have been raised before about his health following his retirement in Rome. I tend to go with the flow and favour Delpo but I'm not so sure. For example, the match could very well end with injury.
Cilic winning would not be a big upset. Rafa's fans probably counting on it too, to prepare the easiest possible route to unadecima. As if the top half draw in general + elimination of Novak in the bottom half were not enough luck already:yes:

Complete coin toss to me. JMdP has more clay pedigree, but he is quite unpredictable lately. The way Cilic handles the back hand slice will be a factor too.

Knowing dull's unnatural luck, it will be Cilic or DP in 5 with no energy in the tank for the SF. Book it.

This slipped under the radar with all the shenanigans in the Nadal match. Suspended at 6-6 in the first.

Both stopped at a terribly crucial time, and with lots of time left to play. I think Cilic was up in the breaker, but they quit at 5-all, I think.

Yep, in the other match Rafa is two points away from winning the set. In this match, both are two points away from winning the set.
So, it is going to be very important beginning in both matches tomorrow.

In two points, Juan Martin takes the first set.

Delpo in trouble. Drops the 2nd set and down a break in the 3rd. Looks gassed and even if he somehow did pull this out, they have to come back and play SF tomorrow

Too bad, I figured if DP won easily today maybe he'd make it a match vs the asshole tomorrow. Now I just hope it's done in 4, not that it will matter

I'm happy for Juan and I think Rafa has his hands full and needs to play well. At his best Del Potro is a better player than any of the new up and comers.
