@mrzz : I did the draw challenge for this tournament, and I wavered between Bellucci and Dolgo. Should have picked your countryman. He won in 3 tight ones.

Wtih Bellucci is always hard to tell. He was on a five match losing streak... I've been expecting him to make noise again this year, but the signs are not good. People here treat the guy like garbage (I mean, the average fans) which is obviously unfair. Nobody needs to give explanations or excuses for his losses -- specially to the "fans" -- but the guy has a physical condition that makes his life harder. He hired a fellow player as a coach -- André Sá, who now focus just on doubles. Stranger things have worked out before...

Austrian WC Offner has a remarkable run here into the SF, defeating top seed Cuevas among others.
For Cuevas this summer swing was awful

Apparently, Tommy said that for all he knows that might be the last match of his career.
Lately he has been beaten by everyone, so it is no point really to keep on going. At one point it becomes embarassing.

I agree that is time to quit. But, he should plan the exit properly and go out with some fan fare. Not like this telling after a match that it might be the last match of his career.

Well, he did beat Roger, and in Germany. Should have taken that high note, played the one more Wimbledon, announcing it would be his last tournament before it started and gone out there.

He should play the hard court season till end of the USO at least. Very disappointing from him this year but he is 39 after all and not too long after his foot surgery so can't expect miracles.

They're not particularly shocking, though. I had thought the Fog would make the final, but him stringing 2 titles together happened once, I think.
