Yes. I don't know if he's ever lost a five-setter from 2 sets to love up, but today could be a first.

He is 11-6 in his career in 5 setters, but the ATP site does not break down whether any are from 2 sets up.

Jo moves well for a big guy, but he still has a problem with lazy feet... ends up late to shots he could be on top of.

One of the commentators stated that Kei is 29 of 34 in deciding sets. Just wondering if Tsonga keeps this close, whether we might see Kei get a little tight.

Wawrinka. The spin he can impart on his backhands is crazy.
Jo will just get killed in the backhand to backhand exchanges, and I think Stan is returning much better, and will have more opportunities on Tsonga's serve. I should have posted this in the semifinal thread but hey.

Jo was already in the SF in 2013, and in 2012, he had 4 or 5 match points against Djokovic in the QFs, so he has done pretty well at RG.

Which was why I saw Kei coming back to win! I saw that look in Tsonga's eyes and Nishi had every chance, but I put it on his defensive style costing him his energy and opportunities; backing up and not taking those stupid floaters out of the air and finishing off points sooner! You can't blast winners from the baseline all the time! Too many of today's pros are still doing that; Nole the only real exception with Becker pushing him to be more adventurous out on court and attacking the net! :nono :angel::dodgy:

Yeah.... Isner also took a set to Nadal years ego and he has at least 1 title on clay, Tsonga 0 titles (on clay)

Happily suprised by Kinder, I thought Nishi would win, especially after he won teh 4th set. Congrats to Kinder, Gachassin is happy, his tourney looks great with a Froggy in semi, French people are happy too. Friday hot weather is scheduled (30d° C) let's see how both players react
