Ladies Singles Final,
Saturday 28th March,
Play begins at 3pm local time.

Aryna Sabalenka (1) vs Coco Gauff (4)

Sabalenka and Gauff have split their 12 career meetings, who has the upper hand in the final?

Sabalenka is just one win away from sweeping the Sunshine Double, becoming the first player to do so since 2022.( Iga Swiatek)
Sabalenka en route to the final has not dropped one set. Her win over Rybakina in the SFs was impressive, fact being Sabalenka has now beaten Rybakina twice in a row ( IW just recently)

Gauff is one of the most athletic and speediest players on tour, her dismantling of Muchova in the SFs, one of the tours 'all court' style players, incredible variety, who forces players to constantly adjust and play outside their comfort zone, gave Gauff no trouble at all, Muchova hard as she tried, could not hit, slice etc pass Gauff at all, she constantly pushed her shots in frustration ending up with ufe.
Gauff will need to pounce on Sabalenka's 2nd serve, move her from side line to side line and limit her double faults.

Good luck to both players!

Great bh down the line from Coco and gets her 1st BP early in the 2nd set
First pressure on Saba's serve and she holds. Saba's bhand today is causing her some grief in this match
Good ball striking from Coco and she leads 2-1
Coco leading 40 love and now back to deuce, her bhand which is world class letting her down in key moments in her service game, DF didnt help her cause either. Great defense from Coco as she saved a BP, another miss from Saba on the bhand side
Huge hold from Gauff saving a couple of BPs
Gauff 3-2
Saba's bhand has gone AWOL another miss, not used to seeing it
Good body serve from Gauff,
Gauff DFs her 4th of the match and opens the door to Saba with a BP
Well done Gauff saves BP and holds serve
Gauff 4-3
A bhand cross court from Saba and she lets a Huge Roar! lots of emotion.
4 games all.
A love service game from Gauff putting all the pressure back on Saba in her service game.
Gauff 5-4
Gauff with a SP as Saba's bhand finds the net, Saba UFE on her bhand reminds me of their clash at RG final last year
Well done Gauff she breaks and forces this match into a decider, fans go Nuts
Gauff 2nd set 64, this is the 1st set that Saba has lost in Miami

Saba breaks Gauff in her first service game, of the 3rd set, timing appears okay at the moment on her bhand side
Now Coco has the yips on her bhand.
Saba consolidates leads 2-0
Saba leads 3-1, her serve has helped today get out of tricky situations, in saying that I would love to have Saba's serve
Saba has cut down on her ufe on her bhand and had a good service game
Saba 4-3 and Gauff is not going away in the final
Saba with a love service game and has found her bhand again in her game
Saba 5-3
OMG Shot of the tournament from Saba with a lob
Saba with CH Point
The Sunshine Double is Sabalenka's in 3 sets d Gauff 62 46 63, .
Saba joins a great club of previous ladies winners, Graf, Clijsters, Azarenka and Swiatek ( in 2022)
Well done to Coco you never went away in this final, and was the first player to take a set off Sabalenka in the final, and in your home tournament for the first time, Gauff will move to over take Swiatek in the rankings come Monday as the World No 3 player.
Well done ladies!
Sabalenka's 11th WTA 1000 title
24 titles
3rd title of the year!

First drops of rain today in Miami, expected to have several of these delays today. It's a point away from an opening set TB in the Womens Doubles final, Errani/Paolini vs Siniakova/Townsend.
Weather update as of 1.40pm, play has been temporarily been suspended ( going to be a long day, by the look of it)
The Womens Final has been relocated to Grandstand arena, then mens final should start on time if the rain stops
Womens Doubles match to be resumed on Grandstand not before 2.20pm
Weather update Doubles Match to resume with play not before 3.30pm
