Sounds like Goran is saying dump the chick, fast from shopping sprees, stop playing around w/ Daddio and get your lazy arse in the gym.
Keli
Apparently Goran got his wish as Stef and Badosa broke up for the 2nd time, after both lost at Wmbledon

Tim Van Rijthoven announced his retirement via social media today,
In 2022 he made a statement defeating Fritz and Medvedev to lift the Hertogenbosch trophy, also making the 4th round at Wimbledon that year.
" Due to a stubborn elbow injury that, despite all the rehabilitation and medical trips, failts to recover, I am forced to bid farewell to the sport that I have lived my whole life"
" I would have like to bid farewell with a racket in my hand and the audience in the stand, but sometimes the body decides differently than the mind"

Grigor Dimitrov posted on social media he went into surgery yesterday on his torn pec muscle and will now go into rehab
His projected return to the tour is the USO, I guess that all depends on his rehab and what time is takes to feel 100% again

Alexanda Zverev training today at the Rafa Nadal Academy under the watchful eye of Toni Nadal
A lot of players go to Rafa's academy for training blocks
Zverev withdrew from a upcoming tournament using the excuse 'personal reasons' probably the excuse he needed to go and train at Rafa's academy

With the up coming ATP Masters 1000 Canada and Cincinnati,
Canada - Sunday start main draw, Thursday Final
Cincinnati - Thursday start ( main draw starts the same day of the Canada final) Monday final
12 days each but over 3 weeks not 4 because they couldn't take another week out of the calendar?

Why do they even have clay tournaments after Wimbledon anyway? I can understand last year because we had an Olympics, but it shouldn't be like that every year. If it were up to me, I would take those out (or put them earlier in the season), and move the Citi Open a week up, then you could have enough room for Toronto and Cincinnati to be 2 weeks.

However, if we can't get rid of those clay tournaments, then just move the Citi Open to the same week as Winston Salem.

According to Corriere della Sera, Darren Cahill will remain alongside Jannik Sinner next season. The Australian will travel less ( with the help from Simone Vagnozzi) but will stay." In Mellbourne in January, everything will be as before"

I think this is smart, and hopefully Cahill can't resist staying with a trending player. He deserves his retirement, but right now (meaning 2026) is not the time to leave. Even with successes, this has been a challenging year for Jannik. I think he needs a transition year with Cahill.

Stan Wawrinka lost in the first round of Gstaad. He's now 1-9 this year in ATP tour matches - only beating #174 in the R32 in Bucharest. He's now been hitting the Challenger tour, and actually reached a final, losing to Borna Coric. He's 9-6 at Challengers this year.

But here's a fun stat: 2025 is the first year since 2004 that he's played more Challenger matches than ATP tour matches. He didn't play any Challengers from 2011-19, but played in one tournament in each of 2020, 22, 23, and then three in 2024, four so far this year.

Anyhow, I know it has been talked about before, but I'm wondering what's keeping him going. Is it the small amounts of money he's making? He's "only" made $323,717 this year, which is a lot of money to normal person, but he's maybe over $37 million in his career. Did he spend it all or does he still love playing or even have hopes to recapture old glories?

EDIT: Here's a quote from early 2024: ""The excitement I feel for tennis, the opportunity to travel the world...the chance to play in front of many fans from all over the world. I enjoy every little detail of tennis life. Even the most difficult, as if practicing a lot, being disciplined, and sacrificing several things. I know that it is part of the process and I enjoy this life and I am also aware that it is not forever, that is why I want to enjoy it as much as possible."

So it sounds like he just loves the lifestyle, and still enjoys playing. Good for him.

Actually the deal was done with Cahill after RG, that he would stay on for 2026 not attending as many tournaments, Simone is Jannik's first and foremost technical coach and quite frankly to me he dosent get enough accolades as he should, Cahill has always said he is the second cog in the wheel, though his experience especially for tactics is second to none.
Jannik and Cahill had a bet before Wimbledon, if Jannik won he would choose for Cahill to stay on next year, Jannik was joking of course, it did come out in the press. I am excited to be going to the AO in 2026 so I get to see both Jannik and Carlos live in action!
This makes me think how long will JCF stay on with Alcaraz, JFC has a young family and also his academy to watch over, I remember him saying since Carlos is young and inexperience on the tour, he felt he needed to say with him, now that Carlos has got another coach, Samuel Lopez maybe JFC might not accompany Carlos on the tour full time, anyway that remains to be seen.

Plus he’d be a fat bastard immediately once he stops playing…

But what is the point of these clay tournaments the week after Wimbledon? It made sense last year with the Olympics, but not so much this year, as there is no major clay event coming up. Why not just move these tournaments to earlier in the season, like before the French Open?

There’s no room in the calendar before the French. Some of these are residue tourneys from aeons so. They still sell tickets, players can earn, but yeah, strategically they serve no purpose for the big HC events. In fact, they’d get in a players way…

Speaking of these pointless, post-Wimbledon clay tournaments, Casper Ruud is playing Gstaad, in what seems like a loser move for a top guy. Rublev is playing Los Cabos, MX, but that's HC. Plus, now he's already in North America.

Shocking to see so many events right after Wimbledon; WTH, B4 it was over, the HOF event started! Too wild! Talk about a compacted schedule! ;-)
