Not really, but if you say so, FINE! :face-with-tears-of-joy: I stopped "disbelieving" Novak wasn't able to accomplish anything after 2015! He's ruled, now haunting the tour like no other & has continued to amaze us all at 38 yrs.old, extending records he owns out of sight!:fearful-face::astonished-face::face-with-hand-over-mouth:

This is not a conversation, this just a screed. We're not talking about Novak's career, we're talking about his chances at this Wimbledon. All I said was that I don't think it serves him to be ranked below 4. I'm talking about 2025, not 2015. He will be likely the 3rd favored to win it, and I never doubt his chances, especially if things fall his way. But, let's face it. These days, he's going to need a bit of an assist. If he has to get past both Sinner and Alcaraz, I don't think he can do it anymore.

Ha, no doubt. Well really, I just want them to be close enough that it isn't a foregone conclusion...which I think Roland Garros proved on clay. So good news! We'll see about grass and hards, though...
it’s sort of been a weird rivalry so far. For example Alcaraz was MIA for the tour post 04 Wimbledon when Sinner blossomed into the HC beast & undisputed ATP #1 player. Sinner’s HC run was truly impressive.

Yet Alcaraz has beaten Sinner 6 straight times and 8 out of the last 10 encounters.

What the French Open final hopefully previewed is a rivalry of the ATP’s two best players in good form going forward.

But we just don’t know, a Wimbledon final or USO final with both entrenched as seeds 1 & 2 would really signal the rivalry is top shelf.

They have different pressures, first world pressure but still:

Alcaraz- has he gotten over his puzzling inconsistency of the last year; coming off his best clay court season ever a Wimbledon win would cement he’s back

Sinner- can he get the growing monkey off his back & beat Alcaraz on a big stage. Sorry but close matches he loses ( ask Federer vs Djokovic) are still losses, and win something major outside of hard courts

A Wimbledon win over Alcaraz hurls both those monkeys off

Should be fun

In other news Kei Nishikori apologized to his sponsors and to his wife for getting caught cheating ( on social media today)
Wild!
I thought Japanese are too polite/too proud to cheat.

On one documentary Japanese were asked what if you build a house without permits and build as you wish, like screw what the neighbours think and if they like it or not. They said there is no law to stop you from building as per your wish out of the rules, but if you choose to proceed and build like that you are going to be excluded from the community, like no one is going to talk to you, friend you, etc..

In Croatia there are so many illegal kind of buildings which make no sense at all, it's a jungle. Luckily Japanese who come to us usually visit the old towns, but I'm sure they are shaking their heads in disbelief like what is that abomination over there.

Ok, I went sideways from the news about Nishikori, but you get my point.

Jack Draper coming back from being down 15-40 to serve out the match does it 64 57 64 to make the SFs at Queens, sign of a good player under pressure!
Phew Jack that was close but well done!

Jack will now play Jiri in the SFs at Queens, that will be a great match as Jiri has been playing great tennis all week, both players games suit the grass

Don Fabio,
The NY Post has a prominent story on Kei Nishikori, as I suspected, it was a photographer from a scandal sheet catching them together.
Really Messy!
Quite frankly I feel for Kei's wife and he has young children

I see the 38 years young RBA is holding his own against the 22 yo Rune!
Won the 1st set 76(5)
1 set all Rune wins the 2nd set TB 76(4)
Rune with 49 UFE so far, RBA has out played him for most of this match

Good to see Alcaraz kept his focus today in his match
He needs to get off social media and stop concentrating about his up coming mixed doubles match with Raducanu, it is not until USO

Well done to RBA who defeats Rune in 3 sets, RBA out played Rune for most of the match and deserved his win
The 38 yo youngster still can play ball
Rune having 63 UFE was a mess
RBA d Rune 76(5) 67(4) 62
RBA will play Alcaraz in the SF
