Yep, that is right. If you don't control at the beginning, you cannot control at the end. For teachers also they usually give this advice; lay down the rules in the first class clearly.

I had the feeling the whole time that Roger was thinking " Nadal may bend me over right on the service line on Sunday but I am not losing to THIS punk today"

:laydownlaughing I had to leave midway through the 3rd set and just saw the score. Glad Roger won, but the 2 1/2 sets I saw all I could think was the Kyrgios should be glad he's playing 2017 Federer and not 2006 Federer who rarely made 20 UEs in a 3-set match - let alone 44. 2006 Federer would have had schooled him and set him out on the curb with Roddick, Hewitt and Safin. Just imagine if 2017 Roger could cut down his UEs and still manage to be as aggressive as he's been all this year :cry

Problem is when 2006 Fed was teaching, Nick was not young enough to enter middle school.

Fedal, if it happens, can only be in final.

I don't expect it happening again. One or both will lose before finals.

Hence....:cry Somebody needs to teach the kid a lesson and give him a major beat down in a big match. A little humility never killed anybody.

I'm not debating any of it. It was very foul, but tennis players are out there on their own and they have alot of things they have to manage during the course of a match. Like you said, nerves and to a larger degree focus is paramount. I hope he learns from this. I've seen the crowd try to sway momentum for a player. Fed gets alot of crowd support wherever he goes. Players should already know that in advance and have a plan of how to deal with not having the support of the crowd.

I didn't see that happen in the second set, are you sure it wasn't the first set?
If I am not mistaken, it was on the begining of the second set tie-break. It was almost the same scene, same side of the court, ball close to the baseline. Federer overhit and instantly complained to the umpire, that asked for the crowd not to make calls. That´s why he said, on the final tie-break something like "I will ask again for the public not to make calls".

See the bright side: now you can say surely "One will lose on the final". Is not that different from the original phrase. If you drunk enough, you can even believe you saw it coming.

Its not the support of the crowd KS.. Its the bush league act.. Trust me Nick reacted to the out call by someone in the crowd.. its not Rogers fault ..I seen it happen before to other players.. Although its in Miami,, that crowd will not be 70% for Nadal...Fed may have more crowd support,,,

I disagree, Nadal-Dimitrov was better match overall

I definitely can't argue against it, both were tremendous, I think this one had more drama while the stakes were higher in Rafa-Dimitrov and it had 5 sets.

Again. I'm not excusing what some knucklehead did, but some of it is the crowd support AP. Go back and watch the match again. He was agitated earlier in the match with the noise too. Like Monfils, he's a showman and usually the crowd is buzzing over something he did, but that wasn't the case tonight. He was on edge because of it and it made him more susceptible to it during the tight moments of the match. As for Sunday, Nadal will be in the minority for sure. That's just the way it is these days when playing the Swiss.

KOD doomed Nick... He will pick....on Sunday

He'll pick Federer because it's on HC and he's won 2 matches already this year.

It happened earlier in the match, almost the same scene, but to Federer, who also lost the point. He complained and the umpire said to the public the exact same words he used on the final tie-break.

Nick is gonna loose this match because of clowning around and not being focused on winning

Yep, Fed definitely had a loud "OUT" call on him too. He made sure Mo knew about it.

I have a question that I forgot before watching the match, why Mirka was whistling to Kyrgios when he was chancing the racket? it wasn't a nice acting. The crowd was patethic but come on, the wives should be have better behavior

The crowd were a bit rough on Kyrgios, but I didn't see Mirka joining in.
