never thought FAA was going to be much, despite the obvious physical abilities. Champions don't need to always look good, but they carry certain qualities....which I am yet to see from FAA, so many talked him up here before I remember.
You're right he does have the obvious physical abilities. But we know champions are made and bred w/ what's between the ears. Went 0-8 in finals before actually winning one and hasn't done much of anything since. He doesn't have the stuff of a champ and it's not something that can be taught. I think many here were excusing his shortfalls because he was young. Hoping he would mature and grow.

BTW with this new coaching allowed now in the ATP coaches are really pushing it, umpire in the Ruud v Hubi match had to warn Ruud about his coach trying to have a full conversation with him
Hopefully this Madness of Coaching for the ATP ( which is on a trial basis) will end.

He was trying to get coaching while Hubie was taking a potty break. Apparently, you can't just go stand down there on the court when no points are being played getting free advice. Which is kind of weird, because the WTA allows the opponent to get coaching when the player is receiving an MTO.

The rules for the ATP do appear to be different than the WTA in this instance.Still I am totally against it in both ATP and WTA

PCB draws first blood. Pablo has been stellar of late. I think he's going to win this one.

^^ I do too. But that will be a tough one tomorrow against Hubi. HH is very confident already holding a M1000 title.

I agree, whether it is Dan the truck driver or PCB, the boringly efficient. I have yet to wrap my arms around Hubi's game. But I think he has more tools in the tool box than either of those two.

Wow, good stuff from PCB at the end. Not exactly unexpected.

But then has a serious letdown after claiming the 1st set and is down 4-1 in the 2nd.

OMG. That PCB fall was ugly

He just can't seem to get over that hump! All that skill and PCB's biggest claim to fame will continue to be assisting in making sure Novak wasted his trip to Japan last year before the USO! He should not be allowing Evans an extended match like this, but he just can't help giving it away! We'll see if he can recover!
