Ash Barty confirms that she will be having herself removed from the WTA rankings for the next cycle, which comes after the Miami Open.
No 2 Iga Swiatek is now in position to take over as the No 1 ranked player.

Ash also said that Iga Swiatek thoroughly deserves to be the next No 1,there is no better person, she's an incredible person.

Iga Swiatek will be the new No 1 she needs to win 'one match' in the Miami event
Iga faces Golubic on Friday in Miami.

Ash Barty didnt reveal what her next chapter in her life will be,asking people to be patient with her.
Ash said she had no regrets leaving and has achieved all she wanted in tennis
Ash also said she wanted to spend more time with her family and friends and of course her fiance,Gary, also helping Indigenous communities.

I think what I find alarming about that post is you mentioned Naomi "finally" agreed to see a therapist upon the advice of her sister. What surprises me is that, despite being an adult, no one from her inner circle (parents, coaches, friends) suggested at an earlier time she might need to seek out some kind of help?. She makes her living in the public eye, I find it a bit questionable that only now she is seeing a therapist. She's had issues for awhile now, I would think the thought of getting professional help would have been suggested by someone close to her. I am just saying.........it seems as if an awful lot of time has gone by before it was decided to seek help. That's all, I am not a hater, and I am glad she is getting the help she seems to need.

I don’t know that we know who in her camp has made suggestions or not. Maybe it finally came from someone in which she really felt comfortable hearing the need to see a therapist. She has a hard time now opening up, so it isn’t always an easy decision to open yourself up to a stranger. She might have finally reached that point where she is like something has to give.

I would think her sister would be in her inner circle dont you,she is very close to her sister.I am very close to my brother by the way
Lets us give her a break, sometimes people sweep their problems aside and handle them a different way.
I for one am glad she is seeking help.

Serena has chosen an unfortunate moment to go MIA. She really could be taking advantage of this crazy situation right now on the women’s side.

Osaka is so annoying with her poor me antics. She seems okay today until some fan says something to trigger her narcissism. She has no personality at all and the void that Serena Venus and pova left is too big. .

Her and Venus are presenters at this years Academy Awards Sunday where the film “ King Richard” that they are executive producers of is expected to win a Best Actor Oscar for Will Smith who portrays their father. Potentially maybe a few more awards.

Tennis-wise it might not be the best choice but at the same time, IMO life-wise it’s understandable they chose to be there.

It's good. I think you'll like it. Sheds some new light on things I already knew. Like how Oracene, not Richard fixed Serena's serve
