This is why I am NEVER nervous about this matchup which has Always played into Rafa's strengths. However, I give Daniil's game credit, he was outplaying Rafa thoroughly at AO2022 for the first two sets and a half

I disagree with this. (And don't act like you're getting picked on. ) The 2nd set of the AO final was largely Rafa's. Daniil's serve pct had come way down, and Rafa blew 2 separate advantages to finish out the set. DM just played better in the big moments, but it was really just that first set when he was untouchable.

I know! My TV is showing Swiatek crushing Kontaveit. I see Rublev won the first, but Vesely has got the 2nd back on serve, but only able to see score. Hey, I watched some of the rerun of Vesely d. Djokovic...he does seem to move pretty well for a big guy, especially one built like a Teletubby.

In all seriousness, he hit some clutch serves against Djokovic in that match! Also, his backhand was en fuego in that match!

Keep on Sis Moxie and I will take my talents to the site maintenance thread jajaja .. Since you are nick picking as usual, I would agree that Rafa played better the second set. My thoughts was as a few days ago and prior to the AO finals, it's a bad match up for Daniil's game but I hope it stays like this for a while.

I agree that he needs to be suspended like Nick was a few years ago. Otherwise he is just another young tennis player who had become a millionaire over the past 5 years who feels the same rules don't apply to him . There's way to much smoke with Sacha and it's up to the ATP to put out his fire.Take away his money and drop his rankings will teach him to operate with a "cool" booty.

It's karma remember how he villified Tsitsipas in Cincy.
