Cilic looking disheartened. He doesn't have the year that would let him fight back from this.

Cilic may get a game or 2 this set but I don't see him breaking Rafa's serve.

How easy is it to be aggressive on Federer's serve? If Roger serves decent Rafa isn't going to be in a lot of games. Roger won that match by returning Nadal's serve decent, and handling him pretty easily from the baseline with decent first strike tennis. it took Roger's return making Nadal look like Sampras and all around passive play for most of the match for the 2008 debacle to happen.
Like it or not, Rafa didn't play well in that SF.

Lol of course you think that, but Roger was brilliant in 2008? Sorry but Roger was more off his game that day than Nadal was in this year's semifinal. 1 break in 30 Nadal's service games when the guy couldn't serve worth crap in 2008.

I'm sorry, but if you can complain endlessly that Roger was poor in what is considered the Greatest Match of All Time, then I think I'm within my rights to say that Rafa was less-than top-drawer in that SF. It's not hard to see, if you take off your Rafa-hating goggles.

If I were Moya and Roig, I would show to Nadal only the third and fourth sets. They should say to him, "This is how you should play from now on." Seriously, when he decided to become aggressive on both the serves AND return of serves, it is like he was totally different player.

These long games are killing me.

Reminds me of this moment: “It’s keeeling me!”

Whatever floats your boat. I just see the irony in it given how much you go crazy when people criticize Roger's performance that day. Rafa ran into a far superior grass court player that rushed him at Wimbledon this year. Roger finally actually takes time away from Nadal and plays proper first strike tennis and low and behold Roger can take him off clay as he should.

The problem is that you firmly believe that Nadal should never have any results on grass, so you can't view any of their matches on grass with any dispassion.
