he needs to get out on the practice courts right now. At least to warm up a bit. What the hail was that!? I honestly don't know if he got anything from that

Meanwhile, during that CC beatdown Pella forces a decider against the servebot

QF for Federer without dropping a set. He'll take that.

Tournament starts now for Federer.

He’s a few weeks away from 38. Sure, today was easy, but wouldn’t you prefer he wait until tomorrow anyway?

Hang on check your facts .... didn't Roger drop a set earlier?

You're right he dropped one to a scrub. Still a great week for a 37 YO.

But Fed's draw gets exponentially harder if Nishi,Nadal and Djok come through. But this is a must win slam for Fed. He loses this and I think he can kiss his slam record goodbye.

He could win this one and still his record may be in jeopardy. He's older than the hunters. Unless Fed plans on playing another 5 years, he likely won't be able to safeguard his record.

Pella and Raonic are still out there fighting for their lives.

If he wins this one then only Nadal is a threat. Novak isn't winning 6 more after this. If he loses this one and that jackass wins the record is gone. And if Nole wins then he is under attack by both of them.

There would be no worse result in sports history than the peasant getting his hands on the record. I'd hate to see Nole or anyone else break it but it's a million times better than Public Enemy #1
