Well, this is as close as I have seen Nole to his 2011 unplayable form. Every shot comes easy to him...well, maybe not the overhead but still.

He will serve for the match, for the numero uno.

Congrats to Nole on a solid year (which is not over yet). Nice show of emotion and relief there...

If Fed and Novak make it to the final, it's going to be a thriller I'm sure. They are both in incredible form.

Novak's SF w/ Kei and final with Fed should provide us w/ the necessary action that's been missing from this tournament all week.

Congratulations Novak for putting on another 'tennis clinic' and clinching the No 1 player for 2014

Well done Novak, you are still the player to beat at the YEC.

Nice ceremony. Well deserved.

Roger is probably hoping ( or is it me?) a bit of a drop in the form after this emotional day ;)

Yeah, that's why I voted for Kei. Might be a bit of a mental letdown now that this is done and dusted. I think I will be wrong though. Fed and Novak are too good at the moment.

Congrats to Nole on securing #1. Clearly he deserves it this year, onward to the semis! I suppose Stan just needs one set vs. Cilic?

I think so. He will have won 3 sets, the rest 2.

Tomas on Nole:

"Definitely he deserves to win," said Berdych. "There was no question about it. He just secured his spot for the No. 1 player in the world. I think it just shows how great he is, how well he played during the whole season. I mean, there was not many doubts that the match could go the other way. There was no way I can challenge him better than this."

Ouch, they put the old man for the second semifinal. Novak will get done 6 hours before
Roger. Roger needs to quickly recover after SF.

It appears that Novak has a tougher SF than Roger though. But, Novak will make an
easy work of that too.

Unfortunately, I am travelling this weekend and miss the real contest after watching
all the blow outs of the week.
