Indeed - some of these Western socialists forget they live in the richest countries in the world, enjoying the highest standard of living... One thing is always evident - when it comes to taxation and penalising wealthy people - the threshold always starts higher than them - meaning somebody else will always pay the price for their Utopia - never them. If we were to look at this from a global perspective (and why not, seeing they generally hate borders) they might find themselves among the top 5%.

Still, we should always have a social conscience - aspiring to helping those in need. By "in need" I'm not talking about 3 or 4 generations of serial welfare degenerates who have never worked or contributed to wider society.
Spot on, brother!

One of the weirdest, funny, creepy, things going on in the world over the last couple months is Ariane Grande and Cynthia Erivo. It’s so funny, cute, madcap, disturbing, that I could watch a whole reel of it. They’re like vampires trying to adjust to the light. Grande sometimes looks like she’s got Stockholm syndrome. Cynthia looks ready to kill anyone who asks Ariana what shoes she’s wearing. They cry when Hollywood reporters reheat the old canard about how much their movie is so special. They shiver, trying to stay still, in case their arms break. Long fingernails grown in crystal-cased greenhouses. Eyes as wide as bats. I imagine there’s a porno to follow, grainy and jerky, with proof that they’re both actually spiders. They’ll marry and both of them will deny it because they suddenly hate each other..

Really hope our friend @britbox was not visiting Sydney and had no relatives or friends somehow involved on that. I always wonder what is the threshold for mass shootings that will generate an actual, objective reaction...

Yes, I just remembered @MargaretMcAleer lives there as well. I associate her to Italy, but after I wrote the post I remembered her mentioning the time zones a few times. But if I am not mistaken she's close to Melbourne, I seem to remember her mentioning multiple matches she saw there on site... Let's hope she is far away from that mess...

Hi Mrzz
I do live in Sydney, born in Italy, but came to Sydney with my family many years ago,
What I witness yesterday at Bondi Beach, one of Australia's iconic beaches, was a act of Hate and Terror, against the Australian Jewish community, I have many Jewish friends, and my heart and prayers are with them now in this tragic event it was the first day of Hanukkah and they were celebrating on Bondi Beach, I have No Words, I like many other people who watched live on TV or were there caught up in this tragic event, are still in total shock.

It’s a tragic day, commiserations to the Jewish community there who suffered, and the Jewish communities everywhere, who are celebrating Hanukkah in this awful time…

I have my doubts it will resolve the problem.

More likely this is a diversion from the real issue. Most folks here are law abiding, responsible firearm owners, right.

Therefore the real problem are Islamic/muslim radicals who migrated to AU (also known as extremists) who have their ways and means of getting access to the firearms. The fed government would rather the hundreds of of thousands of responsible firearms owners give up the weapons and become unnecessarily regulated rather than address the real problem.

We have one of the stricktest gun laws in the world, our weak incompetent prime minister refuses to address the 'elephant in the room'
He has allowed the hate of our Jewish community to fester for over 2 years, it began on the steps of the Opera House where protesters screamed Kill Jews and burnt the Australian Flag, Jewish homes in Sydney have been slurred with paint 'kill Jews" and also their cars, Jewish schools have to have armed body guards outside the schools for the safety of the children, these Pro extremist Muslims have been allowed to demonstrate every weekend on a Sunday in Sydney for 2 years, with a heavy police force, the tax payers having to bear the costs. Unbelievable many ordinary Australian people do not feel safe, and the Bondi New years Eve,fire works, have been cancelled sad to say.with the terror attacks that happened last Sunday

Yes i agree.

There is also The ASIO (Australia Security Investigative Organization) who has some explaining to do (putting it mildly) such as how the father and son gunmen between them possessed up to six guns. The son was in fact known to the ASIO since 2019.

"One of the Bondi Beach gunmen came to the attention of Australia's domestic intelligence agency six years ago for his close ties to a Sydney-based Islamic State (IS) terrorism cell, the ABC understands."

Apparently the father and son traveled to Davo City in the southern Philipines, which has been a hot spot for Islamist militant's, in the weeks leading up to the attack, the purpose of the ongoing Australian Security sources suggesting they may have received 'military style training"

It's just been announced by Australia Prime Minister following the Bondi tragedy, that there is to be a national guns buyback scheme...

Hmmmmmmm.....
I mean, they’re looking they’re trying to do something, but that’s the full extent of it. A person inspired by Islamist ideas isn’t going to trade that in for cash…

I find this to be both disturbing and revealing. They always pretend they’re “protesting against Israel”, but obviously it’s really about Jews. They single out the Jewish state every time, while ignoring the worst states in that region.

London similarly allows weekly “protests against the Jewish state.” It almost makes me wish that there were controls and rules governing “protests..”

I am in favor of 'peaceful' protests and people do have a right to voice, still what we have seen in Sydney over the past 2 years, with 'Extreme Plaestine Protests have just incensed division and hate, I believe now there should be a rule introduced 'governing protests' enough is enough.

Especially masked protesters, and ones who refuse to discuss why they’re there. Imagine you are protesting against an increased speed limit on a narrow bend in a housing estate: you would never hide your face and nor would you attack people who asked questions about it. In fact, you’d be delighted to shine light on a dangerous problem, because you’d know it’s right to do so and the more informed people are, the more help you get to save lives.

These people wear masks because they don’t have the courage to face the consequences of their true reasons for “protesting”, and they attack people who question them because they know they can’t answer for what their doing, but they want to do it anyway, because they’re filled with hatred, not good intentions..

Real reason Anthony Albanese failed to attend 10yo Bondi terror attack victim Matilda’s funeral

It’s an image that exposes the growing rift between the grieving family of Bondi massacre victim Matilda and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was a no-show at the funeral of 10-year-old Bondi attack victim Matilda because his office did not reach out to attend, noting her parents were upset with the government over the failure to tackle anti-semitism.
NSW Premier Chris Minns, Opposition Leader Sussan Ley, and Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek are among the mourners at the funeral.

News.com.au understands that Matilda’s grandparents live in Ms Plibersek’s electorate and she reached out to offer her condolences and accepted an invitation to attend as a mark of respect for the little girl.

Government sources have also confirmed what Mr Albanese declined to say at today’s press conference - that he did not attend because he did not request to attend, a reflection of the fact his attendance might upset the family.

At a press conference on Thursday, Mr Albanese repeatedly refused to confirm whether he requested to attend Matilda’s funeral.

“After the Port Arthur massacre, John Howard engaged face-to-face with the community, after the bushfires Scott Morrison went down to the South Coast and got some tough feedback,” this reporter asked the Prime Minister.

“Why haven’t you attended any of the funerals? Why have you been saying you weren’t invited?

“Generally the process is the ministers office reaches out to attend. And will you be to Bondi to meet with victims face-to-face, even if that means receiving some tough criticism?”

“I have reached out to families,’’ Mr Albanese replied.

“I have made it clear. Today I chaired the National Security Committee here. We are acting but I have met with families. I have spoken on the phone with families and I will continue to engage.”

He said that he had met with families at Bondi privately.

“I have done that. I have not just been down in Bondi on Monday morning, what is now a large memorial,’’ he said.

“Early on I met with police, members of the community. I have been to homes in Bondi. Just on Tuesday visited the home of the rabbi and met with families grieving who are going through complete trauma and I understand that. I have met with the families and have spoken to them.

“Each and every day I have met face-to-face with people who are going through the worst of grieving
processes as well and I will continue to engage with them.”

AFP Commissioner Krissy Barrett said she grieved for the Bondi attack’s youngest victim Matilda - not only as a police commissioner but as a mother, a sister and a daughter.

“Today is the funeral of little Matilda. She was so young. She was so innocent,’’ she said.

“My heart is so heavy for her family. I offer my sincere and heartfelt condolences to the families who are mourning and who continue to bury loved ones.

“One funeral is one too many, but the reality of this cruel attack is that some families will attend more than one. I want to reiterate this today, - as AFP Commissioner, I say to Jewish Australians, you do not share this grief alone.

“I will share the weight of this unfortunate grief with you - not just as a police officer who is dedicated to protecting and serving our country, but also as a wife, as a mother, a sister, and a daughter. The AFP is resolutely determined to protect Australians.”
