The Young Aussie breaks early in the second set, he had break points.
Then he fires 4 bullets. That game took half a minute.

5-2 can big nick scrape another game..

big stage..big serve, big collapse..go back to aussie and go all big Wednesday on the beach. big comeback, big goose.

I see he said the US Open was his favourite slam. The Aussies will be thrilled.

he said that ? :snigger yes..that sort of chatter won't go down to well back home in aussie.

2-2 now with that sloppy game from Kyrgios. Could've easily been 3-0 though.

Gutsy 2nd serve ace seals the set for Robredo. As I said earlier, I hope Kyrgios wins but suspect the frustration is already getting to him and Robredo will win.

Kyrgios is a novelty, until the old players figure him out.
His serve is huge and so is his forehand, but BH, nah.
I have seen him in Toronto, he was not impressive at all.

Different week, different tournament. Novak wasn't impressive at all there either ;) Personally I think Kyrgios is the real deal but needs to calm himself down a lot when he starts playing badly or his opponents start playing better. Roger was an unfocused brat at his age too and look what calming himself down did there.

Case in point, Kyrgios was up 2-0 and had 0-40 on Robredo's serve for 3-0. Made a bit of a mess of that 2nd set by allowing himself to lose focus, get agitated and his serve and game went to pieces.

Nice touch. Kyrgios just said thank you to the ball kid there.

Is anyone helping Kyrgios learn how to use his "tennis brain"?? Some of the choices he makes out there are down right stupid. :nono
