Totally agree that he has to go with the conservative schedule, and I like your list, though why Dubai? Anyway, this also helps me for your YE Top 10 game. I may rethink it. :)
That was from the linked article. Doesn't really make sense to me, but presumably they have a reason for it. Or not?

Sorry, I saw the link, and didn't click on it. He has won there. I'm going to guess that it's because they've offered him a bazillion dollars to play there? We'll see if he does.

24 yo Alex de Minaur will become the first Australian player to reach the ATP Top Ten since Lleyton Hewitt in 2006. ( rankings come out Monday 8th January)
Alex defeated Fritz, Djokovic and Zverev in the United Cup giving him the points to reach Top Ten

Wow; Alcaraz better hope to at least make the final this coming week in Rio! People will begin to wonder about the guy! He literally hasn't won an event since Wimbledon! He's in South America trying to defend points in Argentina & Brazil! He lost SF to Jarry in Buenos Aires so far! Lets see what happens in Rio! :angry-face: :face-with-head-bandage: :astonished-face: :fearful-face:

With Fritz winning for the 2nd consecutive time at the Delray Beach Tournament I have adjusted his points, he is still in 10th position as of Monday 19th February with 3,150 points.

This might be bad timing due to Alcaraz’s injury, but I will put it here: If both Alcaraz and Sinner finish with the same results at IW, then Sinner will overtake Alcaraz in the rankings on March 17th. If Alcaraz finishes with a higher result than Sinner, then Alcaraz will remain no.2 in the world. Then obviously if Sinner finishes with a higher result than Alcaraz, then scenario one happens.

Seeing that Alcaraz could not defend his final points from 2023 in the final at Rio, due to his injury just now, he will lose points, before this injury, Alcaraz was leading Sinner by 835 points, due to Sinner winning Rotterdam
Lets see what happens, if you read my post, Sinner does not have many points to defend at IW, 360 points, compared to Carlos who is defending 1000, finialist points
Too soon to speculate.
