Halep had the surgery recently in September for her sinus condition, complaining she had trouble breathing at the USO series, and is not playing on the tour for the rest of the year., then Patrick M has come out and now is coaching Holger Rune to the end of the year, with Halep's permission, I think we have all heard that before from Patrick M, anyway lets see what develops in this doping case and the evidence if Halep can prove she is innocent.

It’s possible she could have been on a medication for something, and she wasn’t aware it contained a banned substance. However having said that, I will say the same thing I said with Sharapova, it is still your responsibility to know what you are taking and whether you need to make anyone aware that it may contain a banned substance if needed for medical purposes.

Roxadustat is used to treat anemia due to kidney disease and stimulates production of hemoglobin and red blood cells. This drug was approved by the EU in August last year. My next question, does Halep have kidney disease ?

That sounds like the same effect cyclists got from EPO blood doping. Increase the red blood cells and get more oxygen to the muscles.

She maybe wanted to revive her waning career. That win in Toronto should be looked into.
Not just Toronto. She reached the SF of Wimby after not doing that much all season.

No Excuses Sunday. Even w/ OTC cold and flu medicine, you have to read and inquire about everything you plan to take. If you don't know what something is, you betta ask somebody. Not knowing what's included in something sounds like Cough Drop's excuse to his positive result.

Exactly. If whoever is treating her isn't her regular doctor, I'd be surprised. And if her regular doctor isn't some version of a sports medicine specialist, with full knowledge of banned substances so they can avoid them, then she's an idiot.

Yes, Cilic threw his mother under the bus and said he'd told her to get him an OTC hydration drink or something. However, they DID lower his suspension. It seems if you just find an excuse and stick to it, they lower your suspension time.

No doubt this seems true, but as to her legacy, like Pova's it's tarnished 4ever. Every person caught doping has to answer for that result. Some people can come back from it, but most don't. Remember Lepchenko?

Interested to see what excuse comes up, could be bizarre like the recent ones from Errani and Yastremska. Don't remember if Haddad Maia came up with one
