She always needs few matches to warm up her engine. The lose to Keys was just a practice match, she had no points to defend. She gradually got into shape as the season goes on. You can see it now.
The 2 rubber matches she lost dont count, she is bad on rubber because it slows her down.
After the USA Open she had a long break and almost lost R1 in Tokyo because she was rusty.

Imo, you are (very) wrong in doing stats about Simona. That's because there are two Simona! The one before May 2013, and the second after Rome May 2013. You are actually combining stats of two different players and pretending to make them one player! Its a clear case of "sports schizophrenia". Two identities.
