Kenin should be ashamed of that score. Just got rolled. A slam champ can’t even hold serve once? 40 yr old Venus gave Vika a better fight

Some good looking matches. I'm particularly looking forward to Muguruza v Vika. There will be no fluff left on those balls! Also I agree that Putinseva has been having a great tournament. And who is this Hercog? (Forgive me if I just haven't been paying enough attention.)Rome officials will allow up to 1,000 fans for the s/finals and finals.

Vika is glad this match ended in retirement. Daria was giving her fits. She broke and served for the set twice before going to a breaker. Her fall was awful. She was in crocodile tears. It was heartbreaking. Vika's a sweetheart and a really good sport. She helped the tournament director get Daria to her seat, packed up her tennis bag and used a towel to wipe clay of Daria's arms. Results Friday's matches,
S.Halep (1) d D.Yastremska 75 64 in a tight contest.

D.Kasatkina had to retire in her match against Azarenka with a right ankle injury,it was 6 games all in the 1st set,Azarenka wins on retirement.
E.Mertens(11) d D.Kovinic 64 64
K.Pliskova (2) d A.Blinkova 64 63.
Hercog's been around for awhile. Has a really nice game w/ slice, touch, variety and a better than decent serve. She's had some top players on the ropes, but it's difficult for her to close the deal. Just not consistent enough and most of all lacks belief. Like yesterday. She was in control of that match and couldn't close the deal, let Marketa back in the match. Some good looking matches. Muguruza prevailed in the end, but that was some fight. Really was the match that was expected. I was going to feel sad for Vika, but she could probably use the rest before RG.
I'll be rooting for Garbiñe to go all the way.S/finals are set Sunday 20/9/2020,
S.Halep (1) vs G.Muguruza (9)
K.Pliskova (2) vs M.Vondrousova (12)
