Serena actually held her first service game in a year. W/ some histrionics from Ons of course. As expected, Serena looks heavy to me. That happens when you don't play for awhile and I'm not sure what kind of training she's been doing.

I'll say one thing, @MargaretMcAleer touched on it last week, Serena draws a crowd. This place was packed to start this match.

I feel Ons has enough practice on grass, I have never been an advocate of players, playing a tournament so close to a major,over playing could cause an injury, just my thoughts.

Yes, she's a step and half behind the ball right now. I anticipate as she plays more, she'll pick up the footwork and narrow that gap to just a step behind.
