Interesting to note that all the oldies (Fed, Ferrer and Wwarinka won the titles of the first week.
I think the next generation players too will win titles once they hit 30. :devil
I only saw 10 minutes of highlights from the three sets and the one thing that stood out to me was how well Milosz was hitting, particularly with his backend. Frankly, he looked good and made Roger play at a level perhaps higher than he thought he would have to play in order to get this victory.I think this bodes well for me. He may very well challenge the top players at all the big events this year. I could see him beating Roger again and the others as well, based upon what we saw today and the last time he played Federer.
^ I second that. Just watched the match in full. Milos is hitting big, moving well, and his returns are solid now. This isn't another Isner (well we knew that anyway), this guy can pressure returns now. From what I've seen I feel comfortable saying he's a slam contender going forward. Never really liked him to be honest, particularly because of the cheating thing, but tennis is tennis. Kudos to him
[split] 2015 Australian Open (Jan 19-Feb 1) History at stake!
Hey guys, I couldn't find the Brisbane thread so am posting this here (albeit its Spanish). This is the final with Roger Federer defeating Milos Raonic in a very competitive, entertaining match. Milos surprised me as he wasn't ball bashing here. He was working for and setting up on a lot of points and it was good to watch this maturity in him.
