Sad to see Bianca struggling to get some form back, she suffered injuries as a junior as well, at her best she was one of the best players on tour and I think a future number 1 player, those days have gone.
Yeah she was very good years ago when healthy. A shame.

I think Saba woke up everyone in Coachella with that 'Roar' lol! actually seeing Saba play live at the AO this year, her roar isnt that bad, I find it worse when I am watching her on a stream or on TV at times I have to mute.
Saba breaks Osaka and leads 4-3 2nd set
Saba just trusts her serve which gets her out of trouble time and time again
Saba 5-3 2nd set
Osaka really needs to work on her movement., though has kept her numbers up on her serve in the 2nd set 63% overall
Saba will serve for the match 5-4 and a place in the QFs
Well done Saba 62 64 over Osaka, Saba played a 'flawless' 1st set, Osaka showed positive signs, though Saba too good today,
Osaka will either face the winner of Mboko or Anisimova in the QFs

Impressive 1st set of tennis from the Aussie Qualifier Gibson, a big hitter
Jaz gave away easy points, at present there is just no spark in her game
Gibson 75 1st set
Lets see if Jaz can find her spark and will have to take the scenic route it she wants to make the QFs
Thats more like it Jaz you are on the ball and dictating the points winning the 2nd set 62
Going 3

I guess Jaz did not heed my warning about her antenna. Like I said. She has a boatload of points coming off over the next 2 months. She needs results now to cushion that SF MIA, SF Stuttgart run and title at the Rome Masters.

So 6-2 6-4 for Saba. I was pretty close, only one game off. Only saw the first set. Naomi is still pretty far away to me. She needs 3 sets against some garden variety scrubs, and when she faces the top 12, she gets handled.

Just came back from my bike ride,
Jaz has to go back to her game of variety ball bashing from the baseline against big hitters just dosent work, period. Gibson was erratic in the 2nd set and then composed herself in the 3rd set and deserved her win.
I dont know which coach is employing these tactics for Jazz since the start of the season It Aint Working Full Stop

Just tuning into Ansimova v Mboko match Mboko won the 1st set 64
Anisiomva hands a break to Mboko DF and Mboko leads 4-1 2nd set,
Amanda took Raducanu to the wool shed in her previous match, but Mboko is a far superior player, lovely to watch
Mboko d Anisimova 64 61 too good today from Vicky she really exposed the lack of movement from Amanda and she has reached the QFs and will play Sabalenka
Well done Vicky!

Mboko is going to be a great player if her coaches tell her and force her to stop moving her head when she is hitting her forehand.

Thats why I loved watching the Williams sisters their heads never moved on either fhand or bhand, I could also name other players as well,
My Canadian friend Shirley sent me a video of Vicky last year and asked me my thoughts, I told her she has a solid all round game, I love her composure on court, the 2nd serve can be a problem at times, she has youth on her side to correct that.

Phew trying to catch my breath after Sinner v Fonseca match
Last match tonight
Eala vs Noskova
This is one of the best matches I have seen from Noskova in sometime, I still think she can work on her movement, she is a clean striker of the ball from the baseline and has hit her spots with her serve, over powering Eala.
1st set 62
Noskova has a double break in the 2nd set 4-0,
Another break for Noskova and she will serve for the match at 5-0
Noskova serve has been 'on song' all match
A impressive performance Noskova d Eala 62 60 great attacking game and she makes the QFs at IW for the first time!
