I have to say, I kind of agree with the ump. It was a distraction immediately for Medvedev and the longer the point went on, Medvedev might have dwelt on it, thinking WTF, this point should be mine. He says he didn’t but he was also very quick when the point ended to complain.

I think it’s a good marker for the future…
it was a good call. But... it kind of made me feel a bit off, until someone reminded me of the Draper vs FAA and the double bounce. Justice!

I think Alcaraz has entered his prime. He has improved in all areas since the USO summer last year and he does it all with a smile on his face. This is the first season he won AO and if he wins RG, there will be talks about all 4 slams in a year. He looks very confident on the court right now.
Yeah, and we’ll be talking about 4 in a row if he wins the French. If he was to then win Wimbledon he’s into thin air territory. If he navigates that then we’re thinking a double career slam in Oz! I know - it’s so many ifs that it’s rude to start that kind of thinking, but he’s an incredibly special player, he inspires this kind of special dreaming.

I hope he isn’t overplaying by Paris cos Sinner will be looking to time his run. No reason why he can’t stay dreaming too, he’s got three of the four - we’ve never had a season where 2 career slams were achieved in 2 consecutive slams in one season..
