Your constant excuses are doing you No Favours. If you refuse to acknowledge your short comings how are you going to improve?
If you want to consistently beat the top guys, and be No 1 you've got to stop finding faults outside of yourself. You'll only get there by controlling the controllables.Jannik just played better.Look at how he approaches things, you might be able to implement yourself. That also goes for some of his fans who also refuse to acknowledge his short comings and keep making excuses for his conduct and his approach to the game.
THIS

We might have a trio of crown princes if Rune continues like this. As I said, let his tennis do the talking. Keep working, keep improving and results should follow. That's how it goes.

One set all in the first semifinal. Stef had plenty of chances to get that break back in the 2nd set, but Sinner stepped up when he needed to. I doubt Sinner will have the same mental lapse after winning the set that Tsitsipas had.

High quality match IMO.

Tsi looks as though he is about to go full blown meltdown mode. Hope he can regroup and make this last set competitive.

Sinner clearly robbed there...If he looses the match that would really be a scandal. Please don't let us see the mistakes if you're not going to correct them..

Wov. Didnt see that one coming after loosing the 2nd set. Well played Steff.
Hope Sinner isn't injured too bad. That would really be awfully right now where he is in such good form..

This is the best I’ve seen Tsitsipas play since he folded in the French to Novak. Good to see him at this level.
You think this was his best level in 3 years? As you mentioned, he was in meltdown mode in that 2nd set and really got lucky that he wasn't in a 4-1 hole. Tits of old would have put this match away in straights.

Yes. Tell me when he played at this level since that debacle. He beat arguably the best player in the world presently. He made him work so hard that his conditioning gave out and he got cramps. Kudos to Tsi for hanging in there.

I thought he played well in parts of 2022. He did win this that year too and had to beat a host of great players along the way.

He was up 5-0 in the 2nd set against Zverev and got the yips. Lost the plot here early in the 2nd set and couldn’t get the break back. Got down in the third and kept fighting. Hopefully these matches build his confidence in a way that he can get back to his best level without the hiccups. I would still like to see him to get a great coach, but I doubt anyone will choose to as long as they know his father has a primary voice in everything.

Fognini, Djere, Zverev and Fokina??? He’s 10-5 h2h against the only ‘almost great’ player in that bunch.

I agree about the coaching, but that ship has sailed. I would be very surprised if someone would take that job. Even w/ a contract that says daddy has to shut up, it won't stick.

Fog was a previous winner here and is a killer when he actually shows up. Zed is a tough out in these M1000's. And wasn't it Djere that had Djoke down MP's at the USO last year?

I like the ghost, but as I said before, he's way too nice to take out a #1
