Both players didn't play/serve particularly well. However, I'll chalk it up to Joint being 19 and Eala being 20. Both have a lot of room to grow, and I hope this is the first of many matches between them. I'll be honest and say they probably aren't going to be as good as Coco and Mirra, but they are likely the next best players in that generation.

Please you tend to come out with some insane statements for players, both players needs a lot more work in their games
Eala serve is woeful, pity you cant see it? actually she reminds me of Leylah Fernandez.
You know me I sit back and wait to see development of players, btw this was a 250 tournament? lets put things into proper perspective okay
Eala said in her match interview after, it was her serve that cost her the match? she was up 6-2 in the TB and should have won the match

Straight from the 'horses mouth' Emma Raducanu again on social media says she is 'just good friends' with Carlos Alcaraz, where have I heard that phrase before lol!

Jannik Sinner confirmed my suspicion that he signed up for US Open mixed doubles with Emma Navarro without ever having met her before lol!

lol, I literally said that both Joint and Eala had a lot of room to grow in their games, did I not? And I have been saying that Eala's serve needs work since 2023. This is nothing new to me. I just don't feel the need to keep repeating it 2+ years later.

We all know the serve cost Eala the match. Quite frankly, I never really expected Eala to go this far in a grass tournament with that bad of a serve. If Joint lost the match, it would have been the serve that cost her the match as well. Neither player served well in the 3rd set and the tiebreaker. Eala jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 3rd set, then Joint went up 4-2. Both players just couldn't close out. Joint just found a way to back into the win, Eala didn't.

If Eala becomes what Leylah Fernandez was, a fringe Top 10 player and a slam finalist at her peak, it's a win for Filipino tennis. Remember, we (my native country) never had a player this good before. Eala is already doing wonders for the growth of tennis in the Philippines.

A quick post from me
First up I never knew you were from the Philipines, and I get your point of view Eala has done wonders for Filipino tennis, yes she is a sweetie and being at Rafa's academy for many years, will no doubt help her with the skills she needs to go forward in her career
I never never read your comments that Eala serve needs work since 2023
Maybe I need to put on my reading glasses more often lol!
Anyway she faces a tough ask when she plays her first match against Krejickova, watching Eala the past couple of tournament she will go down fighting, something I feel that was honed into her at Rafa's academy

It wouldn't be a women's tennis season without Iga complaining about the tennis schedule: https://www.espn.com/tennis/story/_/id/45608768/iga-swiatek-again-slams-tennis-calendar-too-intense

My parents are. My father moved to the states in 1986, and my mother a few years later, just before I was born. I grew up in the heart of Manny Pacquiao's career. He put the Philippines on the map with boxing. It feels like deja vu all over again. I really hope Eala does the same for the Philippines with tennis.

Iga just needs to zip it. She looks petty and insecure when she whines about the schedule after losing. She took 2 weeks off after her disappointing SF loss at RG. Decided to play the week before Wimby and then gets blasted in straights by Jess who is so up and down, I never know where the scale lands with her. Jess is the same person who lost to a nobody in the RG QF.

Iga was in tears after she lost the match to Jess, in the final, she has been up to her own tricks again delaying play when things are not going her way

I don't know what she's crying about. This is all on her. When she decides to change her mindset, the rest of her game will follow.

She hasnt won a tournament since the clay last year, she puts too much pressure on her self for starters, she was a junior Wimbledon champ on grass, she needs to play doubles for starters, get a proper transition game and then maybe she can play on the grass.

Well according a lot of posts on social media
The Bromance of Stef and Badosa has broken up for a 2nd time
Both Stef and Badosa have deleted their instagram posts of each other and have stopped following one another
It comes as both players went out in their respective 1st round losses at Wimbledon

The Wild Card Queen aka Raducanu has hinted that she may look for another coach, as her coaching partnership with Mark Petchey was on a part time one for the grass season.Raducanu said she will have to sit with Mark and discuss their ongoing coaching arrangement, Petchey does have media commitments, if they cannot come to some arrangement, Raducanu will be looking for coach No 8!

Jasmine Paolini has split with her coach Marc Lopez after 3 months?
Quite frankly I am not surprised he offered a new game format that Jazz was never comfortable with, Jazz was the one that wanted a new coach, after being her her former coach for many years, who made Jazz a Top Ten Player
I guess the lesson in this story is,
It ii ain't broke dont fix it!

Duh. I said at the time that wasn't a good idea. She did the same thing Emma did. Dismiss the coach that got you to the top of the mountain. Radacanu has never been same after dumping her original coach and now Jaz sees the writing on the wall.

Let's see if Raducanu learned from her mistake. Hint: Do whatever you can to come to arrangement to keep Mark Petchey on as your coach.

Agree,
As I posted " If it isnt broke dont fiix it"
Jazz was never comfortable with the new game plan Marc had in place for her
At present she has got a new coach
