Jessica Pegula has become the sixth player to qualify for the WTA Finals in Riyadh, joining Sabalenka, Swiatek, Gauff, Anisimova and Keys in the field.
Now that Mirra can play the tour full time, she is still adjusting, and her level of play isnt what it was earlier in the year, she has become frustrated and losing her focus and losing matches which she should have won, yes she is in danger of being over taken for her spot at the YECImpressive that 3 off that list won 2 M1000 titles this year. And even w/ that stat, Mirra is in danger of being overtaken for her spot at the YEC.
I watched the 1st set, where Clara was in complete control of the match 61 and thought Clara would win in straight sets, agree Clara needs to find consistency, a match she will look back on and realized she should have wonTauson in a lack of consistency right now. Starts well and loses steam and players like Tomljanovic uses their experience and have the weapon in these cases. But Clara has now reached 350 aces - quite impressive - and on a third place in that race

It was a good match from Lin to defeat Andreeva, who to me is still trying to adjust playing the tour full time., she hasnt played well since Wimbledon, at times looks miserable on court to me, she isnt at the level when she won back to back WTA1000 earlier in the year.Lin Zhu the 31 yo wildcard from China has beaten the topseed Andreeva in another 3 setter in Ningbo Open - great job well done. And welcome back from injury - now #170 in the rankings.
