That is the best game match I have seen Jaz play all year, she was in the Zone against Iga.Forza Jaz. Takes down Iga and only dropped 3 games.![]()
Think Jaz had a serious letdown after whoopin Iga yesterday. Besides, I'm pretty sure she just wanted to stay ahead of Elena for the race. Going one round better has put her ahead of Rybakina, but that's assuming she doesn't play either of the 500 tourneys the next 2 weeks.Sabalenka serving for the match in the 3rd set, broken and Pegula has fought back 2-5 and will serve for the match at 6-5
Sabalenka broke back 6 games all, Jess was very tight trying to serve out the match had 4 DFs, all and there will be a TB for the 3rd set and the match!
Jess found her serve in the TB and has beaten the defending champion Sabalenka 26 64 76(2) and Sabalenka's 20 match winning streak in Wuhan
In the earlier SF,
Coco Gauff d Jaz Paolini 64 63
We will have 2 American ladies playing the last WTA1000 tournament in Wuhan on Sunday
Agree Jaz did have a let down after the Iga match, Coco has played well in Wuhan, her serve and fhand have improved and I feel she will be hard to beat in the finalThink Jaz had a serious letdown after whoopin Iga yesterday.
