Laura won the match, 63 in the 3rd set, the conditions in Wuhan are not good and 2 players, Ostapenko and Raducanu retired earlier with heat exhaustion
This is where the Heat Policy should be applied, we have seen in Shanghai players get bad cramps and having to retire, there is a Heat Policy Use It!

Think Jaz had a serious letdown after whoopin Iga yesterday. Besides, I'm pretty sure she just wanted to stay ahead of Elena for the race. Going one round better has put her ahead of Rybakina, but that's assuming she doesn't play either of the 500 tourneys the next 2 weeks.

Agree Jaz did have a let down after the Iga match, Coco has played well in Wuhan, her serve and fhand have improved and I feel she will be hard to beat in the final
I will have to check what tournaments Jaz and Rybakina are playing in the next 2 weeks

Both Jaz and Elena have entered the last 2 WTA 500 tournaments,
WTA500 Ningbo Open starting on October 13-19
WTA500 Toray Pan Pacific Japan, starting on October 20-26
Elena pretty much needs to win the title in Ningbo to stay in contention for the end of year finals
