Del Potro, when he was healthy, was pretty hard to beat. He even denied prime Federer what would have been a 6th straight US Open title. Peak Del Potro would easily be the next player on tour after Jannik and Carlos. Considering Jannik lost/struggled against players like Bublik and Dmitrov, I'd be willing to bet that he would have had a hard time against a peak Del Potro. (As I have mentioned before, even prime Federer and prime Djokovic have lost to Del Potro.)What a great natural rivalry Carlos and Jannik are giving us and will provide for the future, after 12-15 years of here-today-gone-tomorrow talent such as Del Potro, Dominic Theim, Marin Cilic, Stan Wawrinka etc..
Marin Cilic, who just made a run at Wimbledon at nearly 37, is a great all-surface player when healthy, and at his peak, a contender at the slams, especially at Australia, Wimbledon, and the US Open. I know Dominic Thiem and Stan Wawrinka sucked on grass/Wimbledon, but at their peak, Thiem contended at the French Open and US Open almost every year, while Stan won all the other slams.
