2025 Wimbledon Men's Final: Sinner v. Alcaraz

It was lovely to see the gentlemen's final and I am happy for the slender Italian slasher. He really played well and did what he had to do. Happy for him. Carlos seemed a bit muted to me--like a lack of energy, but he would have had to really play lights out to bear Yannik on this day. I do hope to see them do battle in New York City later this summer--AFTER battling each other in Canada and Cincinnati!!!!

I'm happy enuf w/ the result! It's a true passing of the torch as Sinner & Alcaraz have successfully overtaken something owned by the Big 3 for almost 30 yrs. of collective excellence! I still agree Sinner might be technically #1, to m/b even keep it for a bit; but that 3 month suspension still hangs over his head IMO! There's little more he can do to improve, where I see potential growth in Alcaraz, even though he may never be a fave of mines! There's something there that offends me w/ some of today's players; a persona of being a "Hot Dog" possibly! Shelton right there "hangin' up the phone" on Djokovic @ the '23 USO!

You get my point about the men's suits, though. Yes, they have the money, or the sponsors, to wear a good one, or the tux option, but no one is going to give them a hard time. It's basically one option. Women get judged by their style all the time. Iga doesn't deserve to get slagged for it, IMO. I will give them a hard time for tennis kit choices, along with the men. But the woman just won Wimbledon, ffs. Let her enjoy it without taking her down for her dress and shoes.

What alternate universe are you living in? Of course she deserves to get slagged for it. There are players who can't afford to hire someone and they have better style sense than her. If you know you aren't good at something, hire someone. She spends all that $$ securing her traveling team, it's time to put a little $$ into how she will look when she has to make dressy appearance.

suppose so. Can't have everything. At least she stays in shape. Still tall and lanky.
