Actually I dont mind it, he can wear that Platinum Blonde, lets face it is was a 100% better than when Taylor Fritz blonde:)
What concerns me is he is dating Brooks Nader she is 28 yo a model, lets see how long it lasts .
I wonder if he will keep the colour for the Laver Cup?

the new look is shades of Brando in the 1959 war movie "The Young Lions" :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Anyone here seen that film ?

But why fix up something that was never broke:astonished-face: Carlos as i mention in the past, had (note; past tense) the best head of hair i've seen on a male.

as much as i'm grateful for the USTA new upload on the men's final, they shoulda panned the commentary to one-channel/side only, so the public can have the option on listening to one side without commentary.
Sometimes you do come across grand slam matches online where there's no commentary at all.

If your a lover of stats, a good look here on Alcaraz run at the US Open stats (credit to Tennis Abstract online).

Carlos had three matches that was under two hours (second, third and QF).

And the mens final was 2hrs, 42 mins in length, that's almost half as long as their RG final.

Anyone who believes mens tennis is all about long matches with baseline rallies should think again.

Well, if you're ever going to try it, you may as well do it when you already shaved your hair off. He's young, and he seems to like to mix things up with his hairstyles. And he clearly has no superstitions about it, even cutting it mid-tournament. He's young, he's having fun, and his hair grows like a weed. Let him have his fun. BTW, did he ever get that tattoo of the Eiffel Tower?

I would have to add Novak hair
It's not that either of them have "great" hair, it's just that they have a huge bristle brush worth of it. And Novak goes for the utilitarian cut. (Except when he shaved his off.) Carlitos plays with it, a bit.

I think both have great hair
I have never seen hair that grows back as fast as Carlos

I guess Alczraz could get a tattoo of the Stature of Liberty in honor of his 2nd USO win
Personally speaking I am not a fan of tattoos especially when your older your skin sags lol!

Are Connors and McEnroe now friends?
That was the first thing I thought, and I’d read recently they haven’t seen each other in years. I imagine they can tolerate each other. Jimmy should ask John to be a guest on his podcast. I generally find it to be a dull podcast, with Jimmy becoming misty eyed and nostalgic about the old days, but John would liven it up.

By the way, I hope he introduced Jimmy to Sinner as the joint record holder of the US Open title.

It’s interesting to me that Sinner beat Alcaraz at Wimbledon in what IMO was Alcaraz most effective surface ( Alcaraz probably prefers red clay but I think his weapons/gifts are best highlighted on grass)

And then Sinner’s best surface by far, hard courts, he lost to Alcaraz fairly decisivel in this USO final. Sinner didn’t seem to have any answers, and he’s now lost 4 straight HC matches to Alcaraz in the last two years, and 6 out of 8 HC matches overall.

I dunno, with both guys entrenched in the top 2 tend to think it’s going to be daunting for 24 year old Sinner to improve enough to counter Alcaraz’s turbo fire power. If they meet now, it will only be in finals, as I can’t see anybody ranked # 3-15 to step up big time and overtake points-wise in the ranking in the next year.

Last year with Alcaraz’s horrific fall/winter season Sinner pretty much ruled Hardcourts, clearly he deserved it with spectacular/stellar play but it seems a smaller factor was Alcaraz puzzling inconsistency.

I expect Sinner to remain consistent but the big question is whether Alcaraz will get dangerous/boring going forward. The W loss clearly stung Alcaraz, did it wake him up? The biggest takeaway from this USO for me is that Alcaraz lost no sets before the final. He kept his mental focus which has always been the question mark about him.

Again looking forward to their rivalry.

Yeah the Wimbledon final was a shock to me. I listen to what coaches are saying and apparently Cahill and Co came up with a strategy from the baseline to play more down the centre, to cut Carlos off somehow. I’d have to watch it again for that. But it was an incredibly brave performance by Sinner, aided by a lousy serving day for Carlos…

Sinner won Wimbledon because of unbelieveable luck that went his way. Sinner lost at Halle to Bublik, who lost in the first round of Wimbledon. Then, Sinner got dominated against Dmitrov before that once-in-a-lifetime lucky chain of events happened. (1) Dmitrov gets injured, then (2) Djokovic gets hurt on the penultimate point of his quarterfinal match, and finally, (3) Alcaraz has an off day in the final. Anyone of those events doesn't happen, Sinner almost certainly doesn't win the Wimbledon title.

Healthy Djokovic always beats Sinner at Wimbledon. The only players healthy Djokovic lost to at Wimbledon were the likes of Federer, Murray, del Potro, and later (when Djokovic was over 35) to Alcaraz.

Sinner controlled the mid court and also with his pin point accuracy on both wings really pushed Carlos off the baseline he deserved his win
One of my friends a huge Alcaraz fan was at the mens finals, speaks fluent Spanish btw emailed me the next day and said Carlos was extremely frustrated in the match and he thought Carlos should not have played Queens, he looked fatiqued, but said Sinner played great tennis and deserved his win
I always thought grass favored Sinner's type of game, he is a flat hitter of the ball for starters and is solid off both wings, he also had a good serving day in the final which helps. I wasnt surprised he won, I was quietly confident and tipped him to win in 4 sets, which he did.

I think you’re right about queens. I think Carlos had such a huge fight in the FO Final that he might have been wiser to pay a couple of matches at queens then duck out. I didn’t think so at the time, and I even contradicted someone here (@kskate2 ?) but I was wrong on that, and there were right…
