Some of you may know that I don't think much of Khachanov's game, but he's playing at least as well as I've ever seen him play on clay, and probably the best he's played on any surface in ages. Just broke Carlos back in the 3rd, and now serving 3-4.

He can be a solid player on clay at times. His best slam results are probably in RG.

Lorenzo please try to keep your head 'intact' you are nearly home for the win, over Meddy ( he is my dark horse for Roma) serving for the match and then the rain came Meh
Play has recommenced and Musetti d Medvedev 75 64
Musetti Forza! being the first meeting on clay, I felt Lorenzo would win.
Lorenzo will play the winner of Zverev or Fils next match

Again there should be a rule for players in the same identical kits, Hurkacz and Mensik in their match today with the same yellow caps, surely either player has another top in their bags,
I was a bit surprised Hubi won in 3 sets 76(5) 46 76(5)

Jannik stayed mentally tough through a tight first set winning 76(2) against The Dangerous One
Jannik is now 5-0 in TBs so far this season
Jannik Forza!

The Dangerous One's fhand has let him down in the 2nd set and Jannik has been targeting it with good results
Cerundolo's level has gone down quite rabidly in the 2nd set
Jannik with a double break 5-1, broken when serving for the match
Cerundolo 2-5 2nd set
Cerundolo saves a MP and Jannik will serve for a second time for the match 5-3
Sinner d Cerundolo 76(2) 63, just a blip at the end when serving for the match, was broken, it was a good test for Jannik as Cerundolo has won more matches on clay so far this season than any other player and he did beat Jannik on this court in 2023

Oh well Fils had his chances in the 1st set against Zverev, then faded badly in the 2nd set
Zverev 76(3) 61 and will play Musetti next. Lorenzo needs to have his 'head on' full time in their match
Pleasing factor is that Lorenzo leads their H2H 2-1

Conditions due to the rain earlier have made it 'heavy' in the night, difficult to hit through your opponent and making it a slow surface to play on
Paul v de Minaur match has just started

Paul is getting the best of de Minaur at present won the 1st set 7-5
Paul has a break in the 2nd set leading 3-0I
I dont think Alex has the weight of shot that is needed in these slow, conditions

Tommy Paul started slow in the set, but got the break back, and played better, while de Minaur got more timid. Tommy wins the first with the bolder play.

Oops it must be I will shut up I am also watching a womens QF match at the same time:) as you are aware we are good at Multi Tasking!
I refreshed it, so don't worry. And I'm trying to watch Svitolina v Stearns at the same time, too. Yes, multi-tasking!

I think you're totally right about about the heavy conditions not favoring de Minaur. Paul has the power to hit through them. To his credit, he's also playing with some good focus and determination.

Quite surprised with Pauls play and he will serve for the match 5-1 over Alex
