Lorenzo Musetti is into his 3rd consecutive Masters 1000 SF
What a great clay season he is having ( did I mention he is my dark horse in Roma :)

Rinse and Repeat Moxie again he showed when under pressure he mentally collapses
He was 40 love up serving for the 1st set and then? lost the TB 76(1)? how many times have we seen that script before in big matches and on big points
IMO, it's not just the pressure and the mental lapses. His game is less dimensional than Mussetti's, and the clay exposes it, I'll say it again, but I think Zverev is overrated in terms of his actual game. He has a stellar BH, and he's tall enough to make a great serve a weapon, but we also know its limits. Except for cleaning up some service yips and getting a bit better at net, I don't see that he's improved his game a lot since he was 19.

Everybody can't be like Novak; Hugs, pats opps. chest, "how's the wife & kids," & "this'll set you up for life beating me! I am the GOAT!" :face-with-tears-of-joy:
Even Novak isn't so effusive at net anymore, now that he loses so often. Quick pat to the chest, and he's out of there. I don't necessarily want the cuddle, but you can tell when a player feels they should have won and didn't. That's not especially gracious.

Zverev's game is boring I only watch him if he is playing one of my favs
Lorezo exposed the One Dimensional game Zverev has full stop and yes he has not improved much since he was 19
I cant wait to read his press conference and the more excuses he will make

I am happy we have 2 Italians left in Roma
Musetti has made the SF
Sinner to play his QF tomorrow against Ruud
If anyone gets the change to visit Rome Masters it is a wonderful complex to visit and with soo many courts, you can get a great view
I am not showing biased because it is my home town tournament and there are soo many other great things to do in Rome, just not watching the tennis

BTW,
Pope Leo is a left hander as Sinner found out today, Sinner gave him one of his rackets
Pope Leo is a avid tennis fan and player and hopes to get back on the courts very soon..

Musetti is the only player to have reached the SF or better or all three clay Masters. Alcaraz missed Madrid, though.

I did mention that stat for Lorenzo after his win today, what a clay season he is having
Of course his biggest test will be against Alcaraz in the SF, Alcaraz hasnt shown his best level in Rome as yet, though he did play better in his QF against Draper

BTW, the Alcaraz-Draper match earlier today was a far less straight-forward than the scoreline indicated. I was worried about Draper. Breaks were traded.

Alcaraz stepped up in the 2nd set when he had to, I thought it would be a close match even as this was their first meeting on clay

Help Me!
More excuses from Zverev in his match against Musetti today, btw before the match was played Musetti did have a 2-1 H2H over Zverev

Zverev says Lorenzo Musetti depends on a lot of mistakes from his opponents and the balls were ' a joke' during their QF match
"Today was difficult for me to hit winners. It was very, very, slow and heavy" ( you know why because it is night time and the balls are heavy and the surface is slow , get over yourself)
"I was up 4 SP, usually I should win that set and then we'll see"
" Yeah like I said it was difficult for me"
" At the end of the day I'm still somebody that tries to play aggressive. Thats how it is.Its difficult to get free points today".
Cry Me A River Zverev, Lorenzo Musetti had no trouble hitting winners today in the slow heavy conditions lol!

What an absolute twat! If it was hard to get "free" points today, how about you just earn them, then? So much complaining, but to say that Mussetti depends on the mistakes of his opponents is a dick-move. Then you're not just blaming the surface and the balls, but you're downgrading your opponent. Who beat you. With better tennis. Plus, he's younger and more handsome. That must really chap the vain, whiny Zed. So DONE with him!
