An MRI showed the Carlos Alcaraz has a muscle edema in his right leg ( Carlos has arrived in Bologna for DC Finals)
He is in doubt for DC Finals QF, but will re-access and return to training on Wednesday, a decision will be made after Wednesday,
It is a muscle overload and there is not damage to his right leg, he will rest until Wednesday, Carlos started to feel something in his right leg in his SF match at the Turin final, and again in the final

News just to hand,
Alcaraz has withdrawn from the 2025 DC Finals, ( personally I think it is a wise decision), apparently his injury is worst than expected
"He has a muscle swelling and they fear it might be a tear" if he plays the muscle will tear, putting at risk the preseason plans.Alcaraz is not playing a pre AO warm up tournament. I hope he reconsiders withdrawing for his 2 schedule exhos Dec 7 and Dec 8

All the more reason to shut this year down. Spain will have to do it w/o him. They better get Foki and PCB. As to the exhos, he better not set foot in the US to play any of those.

I hope he also withdraws from the 2 exhos not worth it, Carlos needs to be 100% healthy for the AO in 2026 which is only around 8 weeks away

This is 'Complete Madness!
Alcaraz confirms his participation in the 2 exho matches, if he is recovered and fit in time, the first one in NJ on December 7 and the second one on December 8 in Miami
According to Punto de Break, he will then return to Spain to prepare for the 2026 season.

When I read that news, I thought of Rafa and his insane scheduling, I hope his team, JCF can talk some bloody sense into him and withdraw from both exhos ASAP
I thought of Rafa and the 2014 Australian Open final. Totally a six inch putt against a man in the final who he hadn’t dropped a set against in all their eleven matches - and his back gave out in the final.

Carlos should ask himself, what was Rafa doing in December 2013 when he ought to have been hibernating?

Gobsmacking! Eyes on the prize, man! Go to Ibiza and party! We can only hope he rethinks this, or Juan Carlos slaps some sense into him.

Although I have family there I don’t know much about the Spanish mentality, in the sense that, is it just coincidence that Carlos is showing traits of Rafa when it comes to crazy scheduling?

I cannot think of one thing this has to do with the Spanish mentality. Maybe a certain amount of bull-headedness and machismo, but that's not unique to Spain. Seriously, though, what is JCF there for?!

I’m thinking of the machismo and the swagger, and you’re right, they’re not the only ones with that, but also it seems a little greedy? You don’t get paid enough, lads?

Yeah, JCF might have had a word with him, hopefully, but nowadays they have management teams that are scouring the dimmest corners of the galaxy for gold. It’s a pity if this affects his chances in Oz…

Maybe that's it? Management, who get's a 10-15% share is inclined to push? God, that seems awfully venal, when an athlete's body is at stake. Also, surely the AO is worth more!
