Lloyd Harris defeated Dan Evans 64 36 75 to reach the 2nd round of qualifying at the USO

lol, I thought for sure Rafa was done 4 years ago when he lost to Lloyd Harris at the Citi Open.

Seb Korda who made the SFs at the Winston Salem tournament, his first tournament in 3 months, gave a walk over to Fucsovics, due to illness
Hopefully he will be okay for the up coming USO.

Learner Tien has added Michael Chang to his coaching team, he was in Tien's box at his first round match at the USO, Changs role compliments Tiens primary coach Erik Kortland, adding GS experience and tactical support to the young players team as he continues his development in the pro tour.

Gilles Cervara who has been working with Daniill Medvedev since 2017 has split with the Russian
Medvedev posted on social media today, ' 'Sad but something had to change.Thanks for everything Gilles".

The All England Club is not looking to change the format of the Wimbledon Mixed Doubles competition for future editions of the Championships despite the success of the 'reimagined' tournament at the US Open.
There is currently no appetite at the All England Club for the format of its mixed doubles tournament to change. The current set up is considered a key part of the Wimbledon fortnight and doubles is generally more appreciated at Wimbledon, with each of the competitions attracting greater crowds during the tournament.

Carlos Alcaraz will headline a new tennis exhibition in New Jersey this December alongside, Tiafoe, Raducanu and Anisimova
Match will be held Sunday, December 7th.
The event will feature 2 best of 3 matches with a TB for the 3rd set, it looks like Carlos will stay active in the off season playing this event.

Felix is due to marry his fiance Nina Marrakesh, in Morocco, 2 weeks after the USO 2025.

Sad News for Jack Draper,
Jack Draper has been ruled out of competition for the rest of the season due to the left arm bone bruising that forced him to withdraw from the USO
No surgery required his team are being cautious, but just completely brutal news for Draper after such a great start to the season.

Carlos Alcaraz has withdrawn from DC Qualifers tie against Denmark, ( also Davidovich Fokina has also withdrawn)
As a result David Ferrer, team captain, added 3 new players, Pedro Martinez,Marcel Granollers, will be joined by Munar, Carballes Baena and Carreno Busta.

Jon Wertheim in his Monday mailbag, 9th Sepetember, regarding the Mixed Doubles Event at the USO,

" A dirty secret: The players were paid appearance fees in addition to prize money - per a formula tied to ranking - and pretending otherwise is dishonest"

( I personally thought the players received appearance fees and Wertheim post confirms it )

Novak Djokovic has also withdrawn from DC saying he needs more time for recovery, Serbia are due to play against Turkey this weekend, they still have a strong team and should prevail
Meanwhile Djokovic is in Athens for permanent residence, he has enrolled his children in Saint Lawrence College, while also finding permanent residence in the Southern Suburbs, to be close to the sea and tennis facilities. source tennis 24. 9th September.
