I still think Ons will lift the trophy, but Elena is stiffer competition than Simona would have been. Jabeur needs to stay focused. Serve well and own the forecourt. That's still a tall weakness for Elena. She's vulnerable there and Ons can exploit that.

For the first time in the Open Era a Grand Slam women's final will not be contested by players from the USO, Australia, or Europe.

Elena Rybakina becomes the 1st player representing Kazakhstan to reach a Slam final.Seeded No 17, Rybakina is the youngest woman, age 23, to make the Wimbledon final since 2015 ( Murguruza).

Rybakina will be the most powerful player Jabeur will face all tournament.Rybakina with her powerful serve and fhand can take the racquet out of Jabeur's hand.Jabeur weaves her racquet, Jabeur can make quick adjustments in a match, she also has the variety and a Plan B.A great stat in Jabeur's favor, she hasnt lost a match on this surface in 12 months, giving her confidence.
Jabeur is the first Arab and North African woman to make a Grand Slam final.

Both ladies deserve their place in the final, a contrast of styles, which makes for a interesting match up!

Good luck Ladies!

Aurelie Tourte from France will be the chair umpire. This is Aurelie's first women's singles final at Wimbledon, and in total, her seventh Grand Slam final.

Hope it's a good one. Weather is quite hot in London today. 24c. 29c for the men's final tomorrow. Based on almost no wind and warm weather, I'll go with Rybakina. Had decided on her regardless of conditions. She destroyed Halep the grunter. Maybe 2 but hopefully 3 to make it more enjoyable for the fans.

Jabeur won the toss and elected to receive

Apparently Ons Jabeur parents will not be in the stands to watch their daughter, they could not get a visa.

3 games into the match and already I've heard Simona, Serena and Sharapova's name from Chrissy and Ken Doll. What?

122mph serve wow. As big as the men although they use lighter balls.
