To me this comes down to the fitness level of Iga and her recovery level, who had a 3 hour match against Kanepi,it was very hot on RLA yesterday and both ladies were feeling the heat.Danielle had a straight sets win over Cornet.
I am picking Collins in 3 sets

BTW there is a extreme heat warning for the matches at Melbourne Park today, also the roof could be closed on RLA.,extra ice packs for the players.
Lucky the ladies s/finals will be played in the evening.

I agree, and Swiatek has the disadvantage here. I'm going against any logic and picking heart, so I go Swiatek in 3.

Iga has just broken serve 2-4 down. Big seventh game this.

Hey, maybe it wasn't a good idea to schedule these womens SF's as prime time. Could well be seeing another one sided semifinal.

possibly. but Iga's already improved by holding once and breaking once. Something Madi couldn't do in either set

good point just then. I like to see young iga mix it up and change the pace in the baseline exchanges, some moonballs included.

Although, she's been remarkably quiet and reserved in this first set. I suspect that will change if things tighten up on the scoreboard
