Tsitsipas leads the H2H record 2-1 and all meetings were on Clay. This will be their first meeting at a Hardcourt. This is Sinner's second Slam QF appearance (first one was 2020 RG).

I am going for an upset....Sinner in 5 sets.
BTW I am over The Young Greek and his father cheating.

I voted before I read down, so I see a lot of Sinner in 4, which is how I went. I actually picked Fritz to take Tsitsipas out, because I didn't think he'd make it all the way, but Sinner is great, and mentally calm.

Last comment before the match: Sinner, of all the youngsters, seems most poised to take a scalp. Lots of talk about Alcaraz, and FAA is still in, but I think Yannik is the guy. For now. And I also think that the Greek is volatile and has proven he can be taken. Plus, Sinner attracts butterflies, and that won Osaka the tournament last year. :-)2

They are going to close the roof which takes about 10 mins, a bad storm brewing, also rain falling on court.
Stefenos gets a early break in the 2nd set,Jannik making too many ufe on his bhand wing.
Hopefully this small pause could help Sinner he is being out played at present

Tsitsipas (what elbow surgery?) has found an unexpected level here. To me.

Stefanos leading 4-1 3rd set
I thought with the roof closed it might be in Jannick's favor seeing he is a flat hitter of the ball, not to be he is getting a tennis lesson.

What happened here? He blew off Sinner in easy 3 sets, who would have thought. If he gets to play here like in last year clay season form, he might as well win the thing. Feels like the semis are wide open and even final who over gets there. Things turned out to be very interesting coming almost into the end of the tournament.
