I really think it's just the court microphones that are amplifying...seen Pova in person a couple times and it didn't seem that loud in the stands. :-/

Coco has urged the crowd to make some noise at least 4 times in this match. Usually, well known players, who know crowd is for them tend to do this. It is quite strange coming from an unknown playuer. But, I like her courage.

It does seem weird...there are two reasons folks do it...when it's super high quality tennis and the players think the crowd should show more appreciation or the player needs the crowd to support them to pull through.
Can't imagine either of these are applicable in this case.:huh:

Apparently she spoke to the umpire about it. She said it during her Wimbledon presser.
