Wawrinka was impressive against Lopez. Feli hardly got any purchase on Stan's serve until right at the death and Stan was volleying as well as I've seen him.

This is a tough assignment for Fed, make no bones about it.

Stan breaks. He is hitting the ball as cleanly as it can be hit...

The pressure mounts for Roger now that Murray fell. Rafa and Murray are the 2 players you'd definitely/might favor over him in a match. He loses to Stan here then I think it is end of the road and indicates there is no more good tennis left in him on the main stage.

I think Stan is going to win this.

I mean, I wouldn't be surprised.

This is where Roger might miss having a testy match earlier in the draw. Huge leap in game here. He's down 3-1, but he can be expected to find his range. It could be that this is the tough match that prepares him for the rest of it...

And off to a pathetic start...
There is absolutely nothing pathetic here. If GOD existed, he would be a break down too...Stan is absolutely killing it out there.

Now THAT was pathetic. The pass was right there. Roger hits those shots with his eyes closed.

The newer Stan is more clutch. He's got more confidence. That point saved on the bp was class..

One thing is clear. Roger has to shorten the points. Stan will hit those groundies all day and the power on both sides is overwhelming.

Stan pointed to his head a lot in his R4 match.

He was doing that at this years' AO and he won that.

In other words, Stan da' Man is back in the zone.

Apparently Stan doesn't even need a 1st serve to hold easily all set, not good news for Roger.
