What a cross court winner from Jiri he was soo deep in the court
This kid is soo good under pressure with a fhand winner
Jiri with 2nd MP
Nope the Kid snuffs it out
Jiri with 3rd time lucky with MP a great stretched bhand
The Kid has saved 3 MP with a fhand
Jiri with his 4MP
Lehecka d Landulace 76(1) 75
What a great effort from Landulace in this tournament making the QF of a Masters 1000!
Jiri reaches the SF in Miami for the first time in his career

Tennis just doesn't hold my attn. as it once had! W/ the war, inflation, & gas prices, just interersted to see if Republicans have gained back their conscience & smarts (what lit'l they have)! The US gov't's shutdown while "Nero fiddles" on his golf course in Florida! :astonished-face::yawningface::fearful-face::anxious-face-with-sweat::face-vomiting:
Even if they had, it's hardly likely CNN or MSNBC are going to tell you.

Big win for Jiri, but I think we're going to see a lot more of Landaluce going forward.

Indeed he has a really solid game and a aggressive game, good fhand and bhand and a good serve another rising talent

Fils cut down on the errors and won the second but it still took a TB. Paul is playing solid.

Tommy had some early chances on Fils serve but could not convert in the 3rd set
Fils is playing like a "Man Possessed' at present :) hopefully he dosent use up all his energy in the final set when it 'matters'

Tommy Paul has just lost 4 points on serve in the 3rd set
5 all
Tommy was 40 love up now deuce
Fils has a BP and it is doubling up as a MP, a shaky fhand from Tommy
Tommy saves a BP and seals it with a great volley
Tommy find your 1st set please
Tommy survives and MP saved along the way

Okay the 3rd TB for the match, which will decide who goes onto the SF
Fils to serve first,
I Hate TBs full stop, Jannik Sinner loves them, he is insane:)
Fils blinks first in a long rather long rally.
Gosh the crowd is behind Tommy shouting USA USA USA
Tommy 4-2, Tommy goes fast into Fils fhand and gets a UFE
Tommy coming into the net with a good volley
Tommy leads 5-2
Outstanding Defense from Paul
Tommy 6-2 with 4 MPs
Fils with a bhand winner
Tommy 6-3
Another bhand winner from Fils
Tommy MP no 3
Your kidding me Fils saves another, though Tommy has 1 MP left on Fils serve
From 6-2 to now 6 all, This match is NUTS
Fils 7-6

6-2 down in the TB and Fils has found a way to win the match, what a figher this young man is!
I hope Tommy can get over this loss
Well done Fils

How did Fils turn that TB around running on fumes is beyond me. Character win. Paul looked fitter but could not close the deal out.

No Tommy's legs were going he was drinking pickle juice, Fils is a great fighter and he never gave up
This has to be one of the best matches of the year so far

Maybe he likes pickle juice ! ;). If he was struggling, he hid it way better than Fils for sure. He played good enough to win, just could not seal it.

Tommy was 6-2 up in the TB? come on I could have won it from there:) or maybe you:)
Fils deserved his win and Tommy will be having nightmares about this match, as the one that slipped away
Both guys were running on adrenaline
Talk about running, I am off to run in our lovely sunshine before our Autumn kicks in :)

Guy w/ 2 first names choked that match away. Maybe he'll learn his lesson like Elena did and be better for it. She gave away a match last year to Saba after being up 6-2 in the match TB.

Huh? How am I being tough on Alcaraz?
ElDude, you know I understand you appreciate Alcaraz but this statement in particular caught my attention:

But he hasn't (yet) shown the even dominance over a full year that you can see in the 5-10 best seasons of Open Era history.
You are technically right, but I dunno , he’s a 22 year old who’s won 7 slams already & has made 4 straight Slam finals, winning 3 of them. He’s accomplished more at the ripe old age of 22 ( youngest winning all 4 slams, youngest to win the channel double, youngest atp # 1 ye in the open era, winning 500 atp finals on grass, clay, outdoor HC & indoor HC, etc, etc, etc). that to preface him with “hasn’t yet shown” is amusing to me considering he’s accomplished more overall by the age of 22 than any other male player, bar none in the entire history of the ATP open era.

Djokovic, Nadal, Fereder, McEnroes, Connor, and yes, even Borg pale in comparison with what Alcaraz has done by age 22.

Thus my humrous retort…
That’s all.
