Dusan Lajovic, one of my favorite players on tour, suffered an unfortunate acident during Davis Cup on Chile. He collided with a glass door, causing relatively severe injuries to his head. Luckily he already left the hospital, with stiches, teeth not exactly in place and face muscles injured.

C'mon man! Recover soon to put that fantastic backhand on court again!
Rough. Reminds me of when Sam Querrey sat on a glass table.

This year's edition of ATP Acapulco is going to be slimmed down. Not only prize money reduced by 4.5% compared to last year, there will be No Meat ( Acapulco is notorious for food poisoning), served in the players restaurant, instead a variety of alternative protein sources will be available to ensure players received high - quality protein that supports optimal performance and recovery.

They desperately need a male who was top 10 and won a major. I'm sure they asked Fedal, but they probably declined to do it. They have an opening anyway, since Cliffy retired.

I love listening to Andy's podcasts, I think he will be a 'breath of fresh air' to ESPN

Fonseca is 1-3 to start the year - not a very good beginning. The three players he's lost to are all ranked outside the top 50. Ironically, the only player he's beaten is fellow Brazilian, Thiago Monteiro. WTF, @mrzz

Its finally official after months of speculation Craig Tiley has officially resigned from his positions as CEO of Tennis Australia and Tournament Director as of the 25th February.
Tiley will take on the role of CEO of USTA, Tiley will replace Lew Sherr at the USTA.
Tennis Australia is likely to split his former dual responsibilities into 2 separate rolls CEO and Tournament Director.
Names currently linked to the vacant positions include Tom Learner ( Chief Tennis Officer) and Peter Johnston
Tiley will remain in his current role over the coming months to help TA appoint his successor and to support a smooth transistion

I feel like every day I get on social media and read Zverev making a fool of himself in interviews
Zverev says he lost to Carlos Alcaraz at the AO because he was the most 'tired player'.

This is from the ATP board meeting last month the wearables space is one to watch. The notion that @ Australian Open 2026, tried to forbid these devices was, at a minimum a misstep/overstep.
C. Rules,
1. Wearable Technology,
The board approved a rule that extends the range of permitted wearable device provides and on - court use by players in ATP competition, and authorised management to determine and finalize the implementation details, including what, if any, new date governance controls to implement. Further updates will be provided to members soon.

This is a post from a journalist on social media about 1/2 hour ago regarding the tennis players stranded in Dubai.
Players including Rublev, Medvedev, Griekspoor, Heliovarra, Patten, Arevalo, Pavic and their coaches are still in Dubai, along with officials a couple of tennis journalists, tournament stenographer.
DDF kind enough to extend the hotel stay till March 4.
There have been missile drone interceptions across Dubai, but we've been sage so far and just waiting for the air space to reopen. They have periodically extending the period of airspace closure, with the current notice indicating no flying until at least 3pm tomorrow. This will likely to be extended again.

I have seen two and half of his matches. Main problem is the movement, which is way bellow his 2025 level. Also, there is a strange loss of intensity and focus happening midway through matches. He did lose to two players playing well in the SA wing, Tabilo in BA and Buse in RJ. The Buse match, he had just won the first set, was playing pretty well, got to 0-40 and had three BP in the first game of the second set, only to miss wildly a forehand on the first BP, than a VERY easy put away volley on the second. I guess he went on to lose 10 straight points, and it seemed he was in slow motion from then on. He got the doubles title with fellow Brazilian Marcelo Melo, at least. I think he will be ok, but yeah, something definitely missing there.

This is an update for players stranded in Dubai
According to Marca, the players stranded in Dubai, were given some alternative options for travel, but have declined, a decision supported by ATP's Head of Security.
It's reported that all have flight reservations for Tuesday, if air space is open then.
