BTW,
I can sleep easy tonight as Sinner announced he is single, and not dating anyone, thank goodness my fears of that model cougar might do some long term damage to his career, are over.
Lodiamo il Signore!

Sorry I dont think his chances improved by making the final, at Geneva, I know it is a ATP250, still I dont like his physicality, maybe okay to win a best of 3, on clay at RG best of 5 my answer is no, and he does have a favorable draw, along with Alcaraz
To me, his chances have improved because he's playing better than he has in months, and he's still Djokovic. Except the 38-year-old version, who has limitations, including physical. To be clear, I don't think he has a prayer of winning it, because he'll almost certainly have to face Sinner and Alcaraz, in that order. But he looks better than he did to make the 2nd week.

God help me he would want to look better to make the 2nd week, lets put into context, there wasnt many challengers were there in Geneva, when you looked at what he faced. No he wont win at RG

BTW
The Roland Garros tennis ball is used, which is specifically designed for clay court play, so hopefully we wont hear whinging, expect from the Excuse Merchant
Because I'm a very small person, I will continue to pile on as to what Zverev said after his loss two days ago in Hamburg.

Re: his illness, he said, "I think there are only two players in the whole world who would have taken the court today. I'm one of them, and I'm really proud of that."

Re: his opponent: "I think I played a solid and good match. But he realised at some point that I wasn't feeling well and then went on playing the points for as long as possible. That was clever on his part." That seems like a backhanded compliment, to me.

I read that yesterday, I nearly puked., he has got worse with his delusional thoughts, thinking there are only 2 players in the whole wide world who would have taken the court? I being one of them LOL! he needs another reality check and I hope it comes at Roland Garros Early!

I'm curious to know who he thinks the other one is. Or if he's ever noticed how many players take the court with issues, and tough it out.

Talking about Euros our Aussie doller is so low against the Euro
I should have been on a plane yesterday, going to a long over due vacation to Europe
In Sydney we have had floods and torrential rain for 2 weeks and hurricane winds to match
My flight was cancelled late yesterday, due to the heavy amount of water on the tarmacs and the wind factor, they were trying to clear the back log and didnt have many runways in operation.
No worries, I would have had to get out my Rosary beads blessed by Pope Frances,if we departed :)
Tommrow things look brighter no rain or wind.I will be able to depart

Happy that Rublev has found some form and is in the final at Hamburg, due to play my Italian Cobolli
This is their first meeting
I have to favor Rublev he is a former champ at this tournament and is hard to beat in ATP500 tournaments

Rublev doesn't put the towel over his head anymore, but I've noticed him closing his eyes during changeovers. He's working very hard on his emotions and his focus during matches, and it seems to be helping. I respect him for this.

Cobolli is awfully cute! I saw him on a TC feature, as they're playing in Hamburg, with various players there this week, showing them a tennis-related term in German, these long, portmanteau things, and the players had to guess what they meant and how to pronounce them. Cobolli finally got so disgusted with these impossible words, he just started muttering in Italian, shrugging his shoulders and gesticulating like a good Italian, and a la Fabio Fognini in his famous on court meltdown a few years back, but with no shouting. :lulz1:

Spoke too soon. The final has only just started, and Rublev's head is coming off, with the good and confident play of Cobolli. He's down 0-3, double break, has already smashed a racquet, and then banged himself repeatedly on the knee with it at the second break.

Novak got broken 6:5 first set, his FH goes missing and on top of that makes DF on SP. Funny how I just thought he'll make a DF on SP when he missed a first serve and then he did. The reason is that I think he is tight. First set to Hubby.

I prefer Hurkacz to Rublev. Sure Hurkacz may not be as talented, but he really gets the most out of his game. Plus, he can win big matches. Rublev leaves a lot to be excited.

Hard fought and won 2nd set by Novak. Very poor record in TBs this year, but won one now. Hubby is resilient, going to 3rd..

Hurkacz crumbled under pressure. Had a break lead in 3rd and lost it, then in TB he just sprayed several errors on easy FHs. Novak finally gets the 100th title.
