Rublev continues his struggles, losing in 3 to Marozan, the man who beat Fonseca last round.

Yap, didn't go as expected or maybe it did? Rublev is in a slump.

What a game from Berrettini to break back late in the 2nd, just when Fearnley was serving to take the set. The crowd, unsurprisingly, goes wild!

EDIT: Berrettini won in 2nd set TB. He's looking very fit scrambling around the court like a much smaller man. Fitness trainer has been doing some good work, I'd say.
I am happy Matteo got through, still concerned with his re-curring ab problem

Rublev is in a slump, as Marozsan continues his winning ways 75 46 63
Hmm we needed Fritz to hang around to take out Zverev, I will need to find another player :)
Reason for FAA withdrawal lower back injury

Navone is a typical clay court grinder and he pressed Jannik all the way in his match today which I expected
Jannik d Navone 63 64, a good first test on clay for Jannik! ,
Areas of play Jannik can improve on, though seeing he hasnt played a match in 3 months I am happy with todays result
Jannik will play De Jong in his next match on Monday

BTW, ( look away Mrzz)
With the loss of Fritz today, if Draper is able to reach the SFs in Rome, he'll become the world No 4 for the first time in his career!

Thanks, MM, but I am big boy and I can deal with the unpleasantries of this mean ol' world... Plus I have this fella on my list for the year end top 10.

But still....

(I swear I am trying to insert vomiting emojis and twice somehow they disappeared!!!!)

Fils lifted his game late in the 2nd set to break the Greek and take it, then broke to love to start the 3rd. This is why people don't like Tsitsipas: as soon as his fortunes started to change, he got very pouty and negative and got a violation warning for a particularly dangerous racquet throw. And he can't get over it. Now Fils has broken him again and will serve at 4-1.

Fils won, 6-2 in the 3rd. They had a discussion at the net, after the handshake. It seemed like Tsitsipas was apologizing for going straight at Fils on one point in the 3rd. Fils seemed to be clear with that, but then Tsitsipas got worked up. No one seems to understand what he was complaining to Fils about. Again, just pouty. BTW, now Fils has a 4-0 H2H over the Greek. That's probably what he's really mad about.
