Let's pause for a second. Tsitsipas had 5:1 in 4th set, 6 matchpoints of which 3 consecutive on this serve at 40:0 and not only he managed to blow that, byt he also had a break in the 5th set. This is insane, what is he a K. Mladenovic?

I haven't watched any tennis yet but saw the result. That's a pretty sick choke.

Yes, Medvedev-like. Medvedev blew both of his leads against Nadal at the end of last year, although this is the type of loss that could damage Tsitsipas for a long time. You don't want to have that "choker" label following you around in every Grand Slam.

Europe changed quarantine to 10 days, there are discussions to reduce to 5 days.
14 days is ridiculous. Nearly everyone isn’t contagious after 5 days.
Thiem should have done the Nadal and focus on dirt, but he proved often he isn’t that smart.

There will always be that issue of "super talented" players who overplay a situation; often "redlining" when keeping the ball in play would have been more prudent! Shapo vs Fritz yesterday proves my point! The level or skill isn't close, but raw talent prevailed over heart! The opposite occurred later when Tsitsipas decided to be a jerk and actually pumped Coric back up to win their marathon match! There's the case of "Hewitt-factor" backfiring when Stefanos has so much talent, but it goes astray at the worst possible times! Thiem makes his life miserable by overplaying points and situations! The effort it takes to support that stroke production has to be taxing! If he lasts well into his 30's, I'll be surprised unless he plays smarter and more within himself!

Thiem has no chance to beat Rafa at RG, he gets destroyed every time. However at the AO he came very close to beating Djokovic in the final so imagine what he could do with him at the USO. I think Thiem made the right choice to play the USO especially since Nadal withdrew.
Domina won two sets in Melbourne , when Novak refused to play tennis, for whatever reason, totally unnecessary.
Once he plays he b+ level again he controls and outplays domina.
She isn’t a factor on hc against the mean guys.
On grass even not existing.

therefor it was a stupid decision To play NY, instead on fully focus on dirt, right in the moment he knew the best will play us openand also Daniil.

shapovalov well done 4th round first time in his 20s I think he can over power goffin as well.

If Shapovalov had a 2-handed backhand, he would be the one to dethrone the Big 3. His forehand is nasty and he has the advantage of being a lefty. Unfortunately he has the Federer problem of a backhand that looks fantastic when he hits winners with it but will break down in longer rallies.

I could see Shapovalov winning Wimbledon one day, especially if he serves big. His game is tailor-made for quick-strike grasscourt tennis.

That's like me saying what about the luck of Djokovic at the AO when Nadal missed an important easy shot in the 5th set and should have won? What about the luck of Djokovic at Wimbledon when they decided to close the roof despite no rain and Djokovic still barely won despite playing indoors? Please let's not talk about luck. lol
Peak Nadal would have lost that SF 2013 without this stupid present from Novak.
The roof did not decide any point in the match, he would have lost anyway, Novak was on his way back and far from his a game, not even then could Bull capitalise.
Novak is simply the most complete player out there, that’s the whole secret.

Novak most probably would have beaten bull in French F 2011 and don’t forget the sick luck of bull in the French semis 2013 fifth set.

Yes on both counts, but also don't forget Djokovic crapping the bed at the end of the second set of the 2014 French final. That was another match he gifted away to Nadal and beat himself.

Nadal was lucky to even be in that 5th set in the Australian Open final, and in general he is lucky to win a set against Djokovic at Wimbledon. Contrary to what idiots such as huntingyou and BwokenWoken claimed in 2010, Djokovic is clearly a superior grasscourt player to Nadal, and Nadal should just be thankful to take a set off of him when he can.

Djokovic is one of the unluckiest players in the history of tennis sometimes! He can be serving for a match and all of a sudden his opponent begins to "redline" shots and then stops missing even the toughest shots thrown at them! OTTH I can remember it happening at 2011 USO, 2012 AO, 2014 Wimbledon, & 2015 USO! He can be up 2 breaks as in that '14 Wimb. final, drops TB, needing to rise from the dead to win in 5 sets! It happens a lot and it's usually not anything Nole's done; no DF's or UFE's!

Not respecting the rules of tennis is not a present. That’s like Nadal hitting the ball after 2 bounces for a winner and me complaining that they didn’t give him the point. Lol Djokovic touched the net, he didn’t respect the rules. Get over it!

Does anyone know JJ Wolf, who Medvedev is playing today?

Khachanov/de Minaur could be exciting.

The point is even peak Nadal on clay on chatrier needed this gift to beat the guy who had him even there.
