Match just started.
It's early and Angie can't get her first serve in, Serena capitalized and got the first break, now up 2-0

Kerber split with that coach that took her to the top ten...

Serena takes the first set, score was 6-3, that single early break was all she needed.
It's early in the second set and Serena is pushing to break again.

Hmmm....seems as though she's in fine form, no second guessing her.

Right! And for those " experts " who say a good tactic

against Serena is to bring her to the net the announcer

said that She was 14 of 14 from the net after a great

drop shot.

I guess those "experts" forget she has 15 doubles slam titles, so it's not like she hasn't proven she good at the net.

Some tennis commentators are talking about how Kerber really put no effort into the last two games of the match. I mean not that it would have changed the outcome of the match per se, but if that is true, it makes me really dislike Kerber.

I saw the match. Angie can get pouty when things aren't going her way. Instead of her usual game of tracking down the ball, she went for uncharacteristic winners and made some errors in those last 2 games. She was obviously frustrated as Serena was outlasting her in the long rallies and coming up w/ the final winning shot.

Serena was very good against Kerber...tracking down al the balls...to me Kerber never looked confident from the beginning of the match....This year she seems a step slower and cant match her 2012 season..

The discussion between her and her coach was translated. What is basically told her to do was to go for her shots and do something different. During the last two games, she did not play retrieving ball and the result were balls missing by a mile.

Thanks for that info Colleen. I didn't hear the coach's translation as I had my volume down.

.” Angelique Kerber admitted she had “no chance” against Serena

in the opening match in Istanbul ".

Look, how easily we can forget that Williams shouldn’t be doing what she is.
