Thanks for taking the time to put these up tented!!

We'll get to see if GameSetMath is right about Cilic taking down Novak this time through. Anything is possible depending on which Novak shows up. But I'm thinking the h2h will be 11-0 after Monday evening is done.

Uhh, are you sure you don't mean GameSetandMath and not me?

Regarding Djokovic and Cilic, I said:

"The easiest to predict is Novak Djokovic, who is in the best current form, but will he relax a little after Paris? I think not. Cilic is the only question mark here for Djokovic. He's never beaten Nole, but none of the 3 matches in 2014 were easy for Nole. Wawrinka might be a challenge if he were extremely motivated. But with Davis Cup coming?... I see Nole 3-0 or 2-1 at worst. "

[so what I meant here is chances are good Nole will go 3-0, but Wawrinka playing his best can clearly give Novak a battle and US Open Cilic the same. Chances are they both won't beat him, but maybe one will, which is why I said , " 2-1 at worst"]

"Marin Cilic is up on Berdych this year beating him at the US Open and Wimbledon, losing in Rotterdam early in the year. If he is in form and physically ok, I think he'll beat Berdych. He's had a tough time against Stan, even this year, so I go with Stan in that match. He hasn't won against Nole, but he's been closer this year. So I think Cilic could go 1-2 or maybe 2-1 if he is really playing well." [I meant US Open from QF on form]

Cilic had that arm injury, but won the Kremlin Cup title in Russia about a month ago. So he is definitely a question mark. Don't know what to expect from him, but nothing would surprise me.

Oh, if Nole beats Cilic on Monday, the H2H will be 11-0, not 14-0. ;)

Respectfully,
masterclass

Here are the odds on day 2 matches.

Alexander Peya/Bruno Soares (11/10) vs. Jean-Julien Rojer/Horia Tecau (4/5)
Stanislas Wawrinka (6/5) vs. Tomas Berdych (4/5)
Bob Bryan/Mike Bryan (2/9) vs. Lukasz Kubot/Robert Lindstedt (7/2)
Novak Djokovic (1/7) vs. Marin Cilic (6)

I think Cilic is a good bet at this odds. IMO, he has better chances than the 15% that
the bookies are offering. Yes, I am aware that H2H is tilted heavily, but recent tussles
between them suggest that his chances are better than 15% (even if he ends up losing
eventually).

Huge change in odds for outright winning of WTF. Andy's odss have gone all the way down to
25. Both Cilic and Nishi have surpassed Andy. Nishi's odd have improved considerably (from 18 to
17/2) and Fed's odds have improved little bit (from 4 to 3).

Novak Djokovic 4/5
Roger Federer 3
Kei Nishikori 17/2
Marin Cilic 20
Andy Murray 25

Not watching, but looks like Stanimal is taking the Berd-man to the woodshed. Is this a welcome return to form?

Just tuned in. He's so unpredictable. He could be good one game and terrible the next. I need to see him put together consecutive good matches in one tournament. That being said this is a mauling.

And with double breadsticks dropped on Berd, Stan will be leading the group unless Novak can drop less than 2 games.

Berdych looked like he was sick. Very odd result.

Marin's form hasn't been great since the US Open, but there's little chance Novak will be able to force baked goods down his throat. Their matches are usually quite competitive. This makes Stan's match against Novak quite interesting already.. I watched their semi-final (?) last year live. It was a decent match

^ He had a strapping on his knee as well that I hadn't noticed before.

This mauling went so fast, TTC have resorted to showing the Fed/Raonic match again.

you mean like AO - last 3 rounds? ;)

Q Novak Djokovic (SRB) 2 W 2-6, 6-4, 6-2, 3-6, 9-7
S Tomas Berdych (CZE) 7 W 6-3, 6-7(1), 7-6(3), 7-6(4)
W Rafael Nadal (ESP) 1 W 6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3

IF Stanimal shows up, anyone can be in trouble.
Despite Berdych looking poor, I think Stan made him look worse. He was on fire today.
Let's see how long he can keep it up.

If Cilic brings his US Open form, he will be tough as well. I didn't expect them both to bring their best, but I've been wrong before. It is already looking like a tougher group than many expected.

Respectfully,

So the interviewer asked Stan why he calls Roger 'the boss'. A 5 minute love declaration followed :snigger .

I do hope the Swiss can win the DC though, it might be their only chance ever.
