I was right,it would have been too much for Osaka to play her first match on centre court on Saturday at 11.00am after playing a leading role at the Opening Ceremony.

Ash is only down one break now and had 2 BPs but didnt convert to bring in back on serve in the 1st set...SST leading 5-3

Ash lost the 1st set 64 to SST....Ash has to cut down on the UFE that really cost her the first set and also stop over hitting and find the lines and some of her drop shots were just plain ugly.SST played more 'percentage tennis" and yes as a Spainish player makes you play one more shot and deserved the 1st set.

She will if Ash continues to keep making UFE.,she is off her game at present,this is their first meeting.

Ash you have to convert these BPs ......3 all 2nd set.,also failed to convert BPs in the 1st set.
SST just broke Ash again,she is not giving her any free points at all,Ash is as flat as a pancake,not moving her feet,yes it is hot she is from Queensland and should be used to heat,she needs to shorten the points,play first strike tennis in these conditions.
