The biggest matches in our sport are slam finals. They are the pinnacle moments where our greatest champions want to perform their best.

A huge accomplishment for Nadal is that he has no losing record to anyone in slam finals. When it comes to the ultimate moment and biggest matches in our sport nobody can say that they have the edge over him. Here are his slam final h2h:

Nadal:

vs Federer 6-3
vs Djokovic 5-4
vs Medvedev 2-0
vs Thiem 2-0
vs Wawrinka 1-1
vs Ruud 1-0
vs Anderson 1-0
vs Ferrer 1-0
vs Berdych 1-0
vs Soderling 1-0
vs Puerta 1-0

Meanwhile Djokovic has a losing record in slam finals to Nadal (4-5) and to Wawrinka (0-2).

And Federer has a losing record in slam finals to Nadal (3-6), Djokovic (1-4) and to Del Potro (0-1).

Nadal's excellence in the biggest matches of our sport is undeniable and spectacular, very GOAT-like. Nobody can claim to have outdone him when it comes to the biggest moments.

It means nothing if Novak overtakes Nadal in Majors since he owns other important records! There are plenty of players out there w/ a losing record to someone, but is still considered the best of his era! Roger will get more credit for his excellence regardless of being in 3rd place and holding only minor records dealing w/ his longevity! Rafa has excelled in one place and is still scratching to get a YEC before retiring! He's given up on a Golden Masters w/o even playing Miami the last couple seasons! :thinking-face::astonished-face::fearful-face:

I think in future years people will look closely at the slams records and say that winning one in every three slams entered is incredible, they’ll know he skipped about 12 slams after he won his first, they’ll know that Rafa had it harder than Novak and Roger, and people will wisely agree that the Big 3 were all equally incredible…

Fiero, here's the thing. I get it, you don't consider Nadal on par with others . But you lose me when you talk longevity and exclude Nadal, seriously dude....

Well he had enough rest! Every couple years he would need to leave the tour for extended periods while Novak and Federer almost never did! :face-with-tears-of-joy:
